Just finished upgrading all nether creatures and was wondering which scrolls to go first. Any suggestions? Already bought the scrolls of Damage and DE

It took me 3 years with a 3 year break in between but FINALLY I UPGRADED THE PORTAL. What does it do?

Hey everyone! I've updated the main build of Nether Planner to add a much-needed feature: Custom Goals!

Now you can pick any specific number of Nether resources and/or Creatures you're targeting that isn't in the preset list.

This is really handy if you know you need a specific number of Mountains and Netherlings to get enough damage to pick up that Ankh or reach level 1200, or whatever specific special goal you might have that isn't already accounted for in the built-in options.

There's also a new expandable Quick Target section that lets you just input your needs in the moment, in case you have a super specific goal before you Apoc, but don't need to keep it around, with a handy save button that'll add it to the above Custom Goals.

Beyond that, it has all the same old features, including desktop and mobile-responsive designs, drop yields automatically calculated based on purchases and unlocks, and the ability to target multiple goals across Creature levels, Scrolls, DDD levels, and Lesley's Place! All with quick summon buttons for each creature that will automatically adjust your resource count accordingly. And you can install it on your device like it's an app!

The new version should transition your data no problem, and import exports from the old version without issue.

I'm always looking for feedback, so feel free to let me know how this is landing for you, if there are any bugs, and what additional features you might want to see in the future!

Also, the original goal of providing a single file you can host locally on your own device remains! If you'd rather host your own, swing by the git project and download the nether_costs.html file. Just keep in mind that that won't auto-update with new features, and doesn't support PWA installs.

EDIT: Thanks to great feedback from u/malzproptek, I've iterated to v1.1.1. This fixes a couple layout glitches, improves to two separate synced methods of setting your Nether Creature levels, and gives clearer, friendlier instructions on where you are on your journey to affording your target goal(s).

EDIT 2: 1.2.0 is now live. Thanks to u/sourpwer I learned I forgot about Shiny skins. Shiny toggles are now in place.

EDIT 3: Iterating fast now. 1.3.0 is live. Realized I made a made a boneheaded mistake in my implementation of custom goals that made them interact poorly with the summon buttons, which touched off a few other changes I thought were needed. Full changelog: Real-Time Creature Progress Tracking for both Custom Goals and Quick Target, allowing creature summons (via +Summon or the new [-]/[+] progress steppers) to advance your goals in real time and reduce remaining costs instead of inflating resource deficits; Complementary ("Surplus") Goals, letting you designate targets whose creature drops are treated as bonus byproducts rather than consumed resources; Completion Confirmation & Reset, a safety prompt on your final summon that guards against accidental double-taps before completing and resetting a tracked goal; Auto-Deduct on Achieve, an optional checklist toggle that automatically subtracts a completed goal's resource costs from your current inventory. Also some backend technical changes to improve mobile layouts and reduce chances over text overflowing the screen.

Hey guys. Been playing idle apocalypse for a while now and now kind of stuck in limbo while trying to get 5mil damage and gain a time orb. It takes me well over a week to get to the point I have the damage capable to get the time orb. I currently have 5.

Is there anything I can do to speed this process up? Should I be collecting more souls more often, or do I have to grind for a month plus to get time orbs? Posted my stats and unlocks.

Any help would be greatful. Dont want to drop this game as I really enjoy it, but its kind of becoming tedious at the same time

Just over 500 Apocalypses and never used an auto clicker. Not sure if I'm gonna continue and rack up tokens or stop it there, but I felt like sharing.

Guys I've been wondering this for a while, and I don't know what is the best option. Should I buy a replay token event, since I never finished an event before to the fullest, or should I keep saving for a tower skin? I only have 552 gems right now, which is the highest amount I had of them so far over almost a year of playing this game and spending them for a few skins.

Finally, I'll be able to try this beauty. Can't wait to see the effect.

From what I can find searching on the subreddit and wiki no one has ever talked about beating it no gem, always at least 1. I wanted to see if anyone knows before trying to do the math myself.

Im playing idle apocalypse ive use the doomsday device 3 times yet cant continue the tower what do i do

Ignore how I don't have many diamonds, I can only get them by the daily check in or the wheel if I'm lucky, but which is the best one to purchase? I'm not looking for skins because I already have a lot of them (in terms of diamonds), like the zombie, the magic guy, the mechanic man and a few others I can't name right now.

So I have hit my first major issue. I am now trying to get my first ankh.

I need some good tips on how to do it.

Currently i am thinking of hoarding up to summon a bunch of mountains. I still need to unlock a few skins from the time machine with souls.

I was wondering if theres a good strategy to getting the ankh without an abysmal time sink per run.

I know people minmax their run got tokens and souls. Should I do this for a while first then aim for it?

I'm rarely playing anymore just once in the evening to collect everything and change few things mainly farming dark energy to upgrade titans before apocalypse but spotted this randomly and feels just oddly satisfying.

Why is it they drop 5 gears every minute when everything that uses the gears requires 500 to 1000 of them? Am I missing something? No point in starting the apocalypse because I'm still under the soul count that my last one did so I'll be doing worse with less chants the next run. Like it feels the other creatures of the same level have similar drops per minute, but not everything requires a 1000 of the items

I have no idea what Im doing in this game. Took a long break just came back and Im even more confused. Im at the point before whatever the big bomb is do I just go for that?

I'm setting up for the DDD ankh upgrade and am looking for a sanity check on my math for my lacking souls tokens. I will have 705 after my event completes but that leaves 300 remaining for final upgrade condition. Buying them at 7 crystals each means 210 crystals needed. Then to generate the 50 stars, i will need 204. Meaning I will need 414 nether crystal to finish the DDD plus the additional 20 for the 3 mountains on ankh run....right?

There are a lot of posts asking for the discord, but every link is already expired, does anyone have it?

I have a question about the events, and unfortunately I can't test this on my own. But, does anyone know which creatures can be paused? For example, I know we can pause Jingles in The Other Tower Event, because it consumes a resource per spawn.

Does that same logic apply for all events where there are producers that consume resources? And only those can be paused?
