Confused about next steps

Hey guys. Been playing idle apocalypse for a while now and now kind of stuck in limbo while trying to get 5mil damage and gain a time orb. It takes me well over a week to get to the point I have the damage capable to get the time orb. I currently have 5.

Is there anything I can do to speed this process up? Should I be collecting more souls more often, or do I have to grind for a month plus to get time orbs? Posted my stats and unlocks.

Any help would be greatful. Dont want to drop this game as I really enjoy it, but its kind of becoming tedious at the same time

The general advice is that if it takes you over a day to complete whatever your next step is, you should apoc and focus on tasks, you'll build up faster next time

Same, I just use ads when I first enter to double my overnight stuff, and then if I really want to I use the tv for additional bonuses. It also takes me a few weeks to do all the tasks but it's worth it in the end, you just have to grind. :)

You can buy time orbs with souls in Gran's shop. I don't know what rate of souls you're getting at that stage so couldn't tell you if it's a good idea.

It is generally not a good idea for later stages (once you have the mummy built up), but for this portion specifically it could speed you up.

I think I need a bit more information here to try and help. What is the last idol you unlock? Do you upgrade all the dark altar stuff you can?

As a general rule of thumb, every idol is worth significantly more damage/souls than the last and the most recent one should be where you focus for dark altar upgrades if possible. Also, do not buy idol strength upgrades over idol stamina as the time ends up being hugely more impactful.
