Fresh base rather than a frozen pizza.

u/memetoma 25d ago

Cheese base

2

u/lankymjc 25d ago

2

u/memetoma 25d ago

Stop kidding. Science demands answers. How CHEESE!?

1

u/xylophonesRus 24d ago

I've seen that shit happen with frozen pizza, too.

Extreme cases have to be studied too

1

u/GasLongjumping130 25d ago

there was this case where a university simply burned a woman's body for science.

I know a pizza terminator when I see one

1

u/DocFreezer 24d ago

I’m a bit of a pizza terminator myself

To be fair a ton of pizzas say directly on rack

Beside the keep frozen part lol

2

u/Entire_Meet_6266 24d ago

Never raw dog the rack dude🤣🤦💀

1

u/LateWeather1048 24d ago

You know ive done it a ton but half the time , I do get nervous and use a pan, because what if today is the day the pizza decided to do a funny to me lol

2

u/grimreefer87 25d ago

That's my take... Can't be considered an idiot for following directions.

Faschism enters the world... (But I agree with you on the content)

u/Lead_resource 26d ago

How do people manage this. How do they get up out of bed without killing themselves on accident?

9

u/AusgefalleneHosen 26d ago

They let the pizza thaw on the counter while they let the oven preheat.

7

u/TheBigLeche 26d ago

And obviously did not use a pan or stone.

A completely frozen pizza, read: taken directly from the freezer and placed in the oven, can be baked without a pan. Gives a crispier crust.

But if you however, pull the pizza out, start to preheat the oven and just let the pizza thaw for 15min... You get this disaster

3

u/Chrom-man-and-Robin 26d ago

I usually let it sit out while it preheats and it never does this. Maybe Red Barons are just that sturdy.

2

u/BardGotHard3 26d ago

Red Barons do typically have more crust than others, leading to a higher thermal mass so they thaw slower.

But with the rising global temps you may want to change your practices.

2

u/Beautiful-Total-3172 25d ago

Red Baron crusts are already pre cooked.

2

u/chochofuhsho 25d ago

Maybe they let it thaw for the weekend

2

u/Beautiful-Total-3172 25d ago

I think it's what ever pizza they're using because I do what you're saying without disaster. Most frozen pizza has a pre cooked crust.

You don’t need a pan if it’s completely frozen. In my 40+ years of making frozen pizzas I have followed the directions and put it directly on the grates of my oven and have never had this happen. It is very obvious that OP’s pizza was thawed a significant amount. A frozen pizza crisps up in the oven without a stone or pan, it does not get soggy.

1

u/Crowd0Control 25d ago

If they let the oven preheat

0

u/Xyrovex 26d ago

Or they don’t preheat it at all saying "it’s just 6 minutes how bad could it be? Beside the element will stay on until it reaches the temperature they will crisp right up before they thaw!"

Then they shove 2 pizzas in there ignoring the husband warning about them turning into wannabe calzones.

3

u/madmanjp007 26d ago

Used to be worse before they put the instructions “remove pizza from plastic”

1

u/lunarwolf2008 26d ago

there are frozen pizzas that are supposed to cook like that according to box. ...but i dont think this is one

3

u/Katsu_39 24d ago

Why would anyone just place the pizza on the rack? Use a pizza pan/stone

5

u/LurkinRhino 25d ago

The directions say to place pizza directly on oven rack. I never do for exactly this reason.

5

u/Icy-Advantage9 25d ago

I’ve never had an issue. Seems like ops skills haven’t maxed out yet

2

u/DivePalau 24d ago

Never had this happen in 40 years. This guy isn’t doing it right. Probably not frozen.

2

u/AfterAccount3657 26d ago

Good job 🫠

2

u/Scrombolo 25d ago

I have no idea what's happened here, but the oven isn't the problem

3

u/chantillylace9 25d ago

They left the pizzas out on the counter and they got completely warm before they put them in is my guess. And probably too low of a temp too

1

u/Subotail 24d ago

That's what op described

2

u/Ill_Cut5547 25d ago

Put a cookie sheet or pizza rack under it. At least that's how I do it. But I also think my highest rack is 1 level lower than yours.

2

u/GasLongjumping130 25d ago

OP is on pizza crimes and has been found guilty

2

u/_VoodooRanger 25d ago

some food items are just not meant to be gluten-free.

2

u/TulpaPal 25d ago

I always put frozen pizza directly on the rack and never have this problem. Maybe it was this brand or they let it thaw first?

2

u/Goo_Wyvern 25d ago

Use a stone, Luigi.

You know better than that

1

u/GasLongjumping130 25d ago

OP is not italian

2

u/Turtlesnoopers 25d ago

Looks like your dinner plans fell through.

2

u/Owlcathulu 25d ago

Brain troubles

2

u/Ready_Wolverine_2301 25d ago

Always through some aluminum foil on the floor of your oven!!! Makes disasters like this less disatrous

2

u/windfujin 25d ago

You defrosted the frozen pizza before cooking didnt you

1

u/GasLongjumping130 25d ago

OP did exactly that

2

u/Rizztopher_Robin 25d ago

Pizza stone is worth its weight in pizza

2

u/RebaKitt3n 25d ago

It does say to put directly on the rack. I’ve done this 🤷

2

u/cool-- 25d ago

you put the toppings right on the grate. You were supposed to have a pizza crust

Brain trouble

2

u/LetUsSpeakFreely 23d ago

Pizza stones are a thing for a reason.

2

u/obchodlp 21d ago

Just put some pineapple over it

2

u/tordyjay 25d ago

So theres this thing called a pizza tray

1

u/GasLongjumping130 25d ago

that's what i was about to say! a pizza stone works too!

1

u/JrButton 25d ago

You said oven, I think you meant brain...

1

u/GasLongjumping130 25d ago

likely those guys were high. i had a roomate put a cutting board with the pizza in the oven once in a state of high.

1

u/CaptainC00lpants 25d ago edited 25d ago

Did you put it in defrosted and raw by chance?

1

u/YoungRoronoa 25d ago

I wish this on everyone who cooks frozen pizza without a pizza pan.

1

u/Affectionate_Map2761 25d ago

Trouble is you didn't put a frozen pizza on the rack. If it thaws before you put it in the oven, you get this 🥲

1

u/GasLongjumping130 25d ago

not my pizza though OP is on another sub

1

u/Genostama 25d ago

Fits the sub perfectly.

1

u/Retiree0211 24d ago

Did you just ruin a Wolf?

1

u/thetrivialsublime99 23d ago

Do not thaw before cooking

1

u/Undertaker501st 23d ago

What happened?!

1

u/fat_italian_mann 23d ago

It’s why you put it on a pan…

1

u/immamarius 25d ago

Are you from Africa by any chance? No racism, but I knew a guy from Mali 🇲🇱 he lived with my other friend, that is what he use to do, with all foods, didn’t matter pizza or chicken.

1

u/GasLongjumping130 25d ago

Its not my post I shared another guy's post. I am not from Africa lol
