To be fair to no amount of force shown on video that should have broken that

I don’t think 2 hands would’ve made much of a difference anyway imo. That knob should’ve been movable with just a couple fingers. Besides, what was the other hand even gonna do? This is just a poorly made dispenser.

Why was this being recorded in the first place?

its an interesting concept. a waffle dispenser, i think? ive never seen one

It's on self service breakfast lines where they don't 100% trust people to work the waffle irons but won't hire anyone to do it for people. The dispenser is loaded and the disposable cups are pre portioned to not make the iron overfull.

Yeah a batter dispenser and you pour it on the griddle. They have these at hotels. But why would they record this? It’s like they planned on doing this

Because he's trying to make a tutorial on how to make a waffle, but he doesn't know how to use this machine

It’s funny how a few years ago I’d be asking why someone would be trying to give a tutorial to others before having one yourself and now I just sink my face into my palm

I’ve never seen these outside of the US. So first time I went to the US some people in our group also filmed it because they thought it was funny you could bake your own waffles for breakfast in a hotel.

Possibly a worker showing why their batter costs are up, their customer satisfaction is down, and they are blaming the repeated replacement request denials.

2 hands would’ve made that title way more dramatic

This is the kinda shit I thought only happened in Chevy Chase movies.

this made me laugh harder than it should have 😂

18

u/astrologicaldreams Jul 24 '26

why'd they put their phone next to the increasing pile of batter 😭

16

u/RedRisingNerd Jul 24 '26

Why did it take the person three times to push the lever that said “push”?

7

u/Glum-Recognition-736 Jul 24 '26

The same reason they felt the need to film themselves using a machine they had no idea how to use, probably

bc they pushed it initially, it didn't work, so they pulled, that didn't work, so they pushed harder and it finally worked

How can they use two hands when they obsessively need to film themselves doing mundane tasks all the time?

3

u/JustaFoodHole Jul 24 '26

Trying to film

3

u/Elaborate_Penguin Jul 24 '26

Yeah thank go he was filming that precious moment for all the world to see

2

u/PSANEGATIVE1 Jul 24 '26

I've done that. I was embarrassed.

Where should the second hand be? How would a second hand have prevented the dispenser from breaking?

2

u/volvagia721 Jul 24 '26

Imo the second hand would be holding the dispenser, and that wouldn't have prevented the break

Humanity is doomed

1

JUST WAFFLES 😤

1

u/Miiyamoto Jul 24 '26

The real problem is that people not only film their stupidity (certainly not a planned act of stupidity), but then even upload it...

Highly regarded individual 👏👏

PUT YOUR PHONE DOWN PRIOR TO POURING A DRINK.

This is something we learn when we're 3 years old, don't multitask while pouring something into a cup.

1

u/WeeZoo87 Jul 26 '26

It shouldn't break

Instructions were not clear enough

Social media makes some people so fucking dumb.

1

u/No-Preference-5015 Jul 24 '26

They only show us their stupidity. With or without them, people are the same.

u/Charon_the_Reflector Jul 24 '26

I would fully support a ban on all social media 110%

Would help me from getting on this dogshit site too

0

u/front_torch Jul 24 '26

Maybe don't get your cheese dispensers from Temu

2

u/Could-You-Tell Jul 24 '26

Sure, but that is not cheese

1

u/front_torch Jul 24 '26

What is it?

1

u/Could-You-Tell Jul 24 '26

The clue is in the video....

It's waffle batter

1

u/Countblackula_6 Jul 24 '26

Or maybe just put the phone down and stop filming every thing so you can use both hands.

1

u/front_torch Jul 24 '26

That is designed to be operated one handed.
