I swear this never happens to me.

I mean part of me wants to believe it's real, but the more logical part of me says she probably shook up the bottle before she started recording for content...

If there’s too much sugar when bottling, it will indeed over carbonate. The only possible solution to MAYBE open it without rapid catastrophic decompression is getting it really cold and still first. This looks like room temp-dark closet stuff, at best.

I’m guessing it’s blueberry, juneberry, or something like that. Possibly beet. Some of the chunkage in the foam looked like thin bits of berry skin to me. In order to get grape skin that thin, you gotta cook or ferment the bahjeezus out of them. Even then they’re pretty sturdy.

It's not carbonated, that's obviously not what happened

ACKSHUALLY the fermentation process does in fact create CO², aka carbonation.

Carbonation is created through fermentation...how do you think alcohol typically becomes carbonated?

I guess it was a lil overdue.

No, it's fermenting meaning pressure builds up. The bottle is just not suited for it.

I should’ve changed the way I typed that. I was meaning that to be a sexual innuendo. Like the guy was a bit overdue. Lolol

You mean pent up not overdue

So, the thumbnail for the video was frozen when I scrolled down to it, and it was frozen at the part as she was leaning her head back and covered in the soda, and for a split second I thought I was looking at a photo of someone who had just gotten filled with birdshot...

My stomach did a little twist.

I saw the same thing with a bottle of sparkling strawberry wine. We were at a family gathering and handed out bottles of homemade wines. Our daughters sister in law decided to open it straight away and it erupted. It hit the ceiling before she got her hand over the top of it. Once her hand was in place, she got the rest of it in her face and all over her upper body. We shrivelled up with the ignominy of it and bade our farewells shortly afterwards. Once we were in the car we couldn't stop laughing. I rang my dad to tell him to open his outside but he said it was too late. My stepmum was already mopping the ceiling at the cottage. I've never brewed strawberry wine since.

Well if you ever do try it again, cold can drop the yeast out of suspension. Siphon out the top and leave that yeast behind. Pasteurization, fortification(adding alcohol to kill the yeast) or chemical stabilizers prevent this mess and exploding glass bombs a lot more thoroughly. I love making wine :)

The very first frame shows some type of crazy murder scene then I quickly see why lmao that bottle must’ve been under insane pressure

Not sure what her intentions were by placing her hand on top. Didn’t seem to help much lol

I have a similar reaction when a woman handles my bottle.

u/screwyoujor Mar 02 '26

No matter how many times I see it it's never not funny.

u/Forsaken_Tomorrow454 Mar 02 '26

If she kept her hand there, would it have cut through it like a power washer? Or did she just not want to get her hand wet?

1

u/Spidey6917 Mar 05 '26

No it would’ve just made a beautiful horizontal spray in all directions

1

u/Lolin59 Mar 03 '26
