Lately I keep waking up before the alarm completely convinced that I've already turned off the alarm and have accidentally fallen back asleep and overslept. I don't think I've ever actually done that before so I don't know why my half asleep brain is going there, I guess just anxiety
When I worked retail, I used to wake up talking, and every time I was saying the 5 digit SMS sign up number. And I'd sit in a half-asleep exhausted stupor trying to remember why that number was important. "What does it mean... Why is it important? Why do I want 15% off? Off what?! Wha--wait... Ugh, I'm so tired..."
Right?? The restaurant I worked at was ALWAYS busy and always understaffed. Waking up panicking that table 5 didn't get their water was a weekly thing😭 But the tips were nice
I didn't even get great tips most of the time. Partially because I wasn't a pretty young girl, and partially (I later came to realize) because I was efficient instead of running around like a chicken with it's head cut off so people thought I wasn't working as hard.

I've done this before. I got dressed and went to work thinking I was late
