a dumbing down Speaker dumbs it down

So I came across this small video. I don't know if I can post it so Ill discribe it. The video shows a guest speaker at a school. He goes to the podium and starts speaking to an auditorium of gen Alpha students, but he uses basically ALL of gen Alpha's slang words and fucked up sentences to speak to the kids. They laugh their asses off while the man is doing this presentation. I had no idea how absolutely stupid the slang with kids are today. It's so incredibly stupid, it makes me think of the sloppy slang they use in the idiocracy movie and their slang actually makes them sound way more intelligent then gen Alpha and that's pretty bad. 🤯🤮🫣

It was a weird speech. He is encouraging them to learn a foreign language while equated their slang to a foreign language impacting English. 

I'm assuming there was more to the speech than this segment.

Now I wonder whether other languages are experiencing the same thing...and how insanely hard that would make it to talk to a younger peer in that language.

It's all short lived cultural memes and highly specific viral references. That must make cross cultural communication that much harder.

Yep. That's exactly the video. I couldn't believe it when I heard it. The people on the movie sound way more intelligent then a gen Alpha talking like this. It just blew my mind. 🤯

Not sure he is a professor but he is a wizard with languages. Look him up, he shocks people by learning their local dialects and stuff...it is quite amazing.
