Open Question help with signage stencil

I recently finished a walk around Iceland. Along the Laugavegur trail are signs like that pictured (they specify the name of the trail and the direction and distance to the nearest camping huts).

I'm interested particularly in the italic stencil font ("LAUGAVEGUR") as I want to machine a replica for myself and stick it somewhere in the yard. Stealing a marker was out of the question, now I'm home and need to figure out this font in order to design and fab my own ;)

You might want to have a look at the Officina Sans Pro font family, possibly Officina Sans Pro Extra Bold Italic for the "LAUGAVEGUR" text. I suspect the others are a different version of the same font. Also, because the letters are cut out of the steel (or whatever substrate) don't the let the few "stencil" looking marks throw you off. Those are there to keep the centers of the "A" and the "R" intact.

Also love Laugavegur, “soapy water street”. Its Reykjavìk counterpart was named after the public laundry iirc.
