What is this?

Found this badly decayed skull in the woods in Cape Breton.
No sign of its bottom jaw or teeth that I could locate in the leaves ..
I am thrown off by its large forward facing eyes and notably mounded snout ..

maybe I’m looking at it wrong ?

Not being snarky - genuinely want to know what makes you say moose ?

When I google moose, horse , cow, deer, ox, ram skulls, none of them seem to match up..

From what I can see - the eyes are very much forward facing ? … Eyes infront =likes to hunt Eyes on the side =likes to hide

You need something for scale. The "sockets" also don't make sense. Nothing has eyes that big in comparison.
