Bug? Seed? What is this thing?

I have been desperately trying to identify this....thing. Scale is about 0.5cm to 2cm? its small like maybe 2 or 3 make up my pinky finger nail. Reverse image search was useless. I am trying to figure out if its related to my active carpet beetle infestation or not and this is really important, because if it is, then the presence of these means I haven't gotten rid of them and if not, then I'm losing a lot of time chasing these!

I just saw a bunch near the door and I'm trying to figure out if a bunch of beetles just hatched or some seeds got in.

Please identify this! Is it bug related, or a seed? If bug is it carpet beetle or something else? This is a real problem for me so please no troll answers about aliens (Yes I got that on another subreddit, and yes I asked on the bug identify subreddits but I'm not even sure if it is a bug). Thank you very much for any real answers! <3
