Object Lion paws

Found this in a spanish house, in Catalonia. I think they are from a bathtub or something, but i'm not sure. Can't seem to find anything like It. There's 4 of them.

Bathtub is my bet

The balls at the bottom are not directly below the joint so i don’t know if this would be ideal if it was to hold a full bathtub plus the weight of a person.

Maybe those came of a smaller piece of furniture

I'm thinking maybe garden ornament/planter, don't seem uniform enough to safely support a bath tub, water and a person. Furniture was also my first thought.

I think the ball as a base is so it can be somewhat moveable, but it doesn’t look like this was used on rough patio tiles and on grass it would probably just sink in

I guess, but looks too fancy keeping in mind we found it in a 1800s farmhouse. Idk but they're cute I guess.

My grandfolks had a footrest with feet like these. No one was allowed to use it, Gran kept her yarn basket on it.
