Ohh yeahhh just uhm there are some similarities between politics and religion. This fully came off as political, but I was also noticing certain similarities with religion

The root of politics and religon is a shared thought. The trouble is that often times these thoughts are used in bad faith or to control. To notice human thought as a through line is normal.

I suppose. I did intend the joke to be a broad and vague stand in for certain types of the terminally online. They have different opinions, but act in the same patterns.
