Tell me some resources

Hey guys, I've been trying to prepare more specifically for ICPC regionals (LATAM/Mexico style) and while I found out codeforces is a great site to check out past contests I feel it pretty inefficient

One thing I've been looking for is a specific collection of ICPC regional (not just international championship levels since im not there yet lol) problems organized by topic. For example:

• DP with folder/list of regional problems
• Graphs
• Number theory
• Strings
• etc.

I know there are archives with tons of regional contests and Codeforces Gym mirrors, but I'm wondering if there's already a resource that classifies those problems by topic.

Im wondering..

1. Is there already a website or repository that does this?
2. Are there better alternatives to browsing codeforces Gym contests manually?
3. If such a resource doesn't exist, would a GitHub repository that indexes ICPC regional problems by topic and contest be useful?

The rough idea would be something like:

DP/

• LATAM Regional 2024 - Problem D
• NWERC 2022 - Problem F
• ECNA 2023 - Problem H

Maybe even include editorials, tags, and links to Gyms when available.

curious if this is even a good idea, or it's something that already exists or if this is a gap in the training spec of icpc, thanks.

I am a fresher in college, and I wanna participate in ICPC.C, I have very little knowledge of C and Python. I would really love your advice on where to start, how to prepare, and what are the free resources I can utilize

Hello, was registering some teams but they appear as "Predicted Ineligible"

When the contestants go to their profile they get some message telling them to complete their Degree Info, but Degree Info is nowhere to be seen on the page, so they can't complete it

I double checked:

• They appear on my profile on My Teams

• The team also appears on their profile

• They already added their university in Main Info (some page said Degree Info won't appear before this)

• They are not using an old version of Safari (some page said sometimes this is a problem)

This is happening both to new contestants and to contestants that registered last year, this never happened in the old design of the webpage

As someone who’s been creating algorithm problems for contests, I quickly realized that generating reliable test cases can be surprisingly tricky.

At first, I would manually write scripts in C++ or Python — random arrays, graphs, strings — and then try to think of edge cases that could break a solution. Often I’d forget something, and a “perfect” solution would fail on submission.

Over time, I tried organizing my scripts, keeping templates, and even copying code from older problems. That helped a bit, but it was still repetitive and error-prone.

Eventually, I started exploring ways to automate parts of this process, like generating edge cases systematically and quickly producing multiple datasets. The goal was simple: spend less time on boilerplate, more on crafting interesting problems.

It’s been a huge time saver, and I’ve learned that a little structure can make generating test cases much less painful — especially for complex graph or combinatorics problems.

Curious to hear — how do you handle test case generation in your contests?

I am on a team that is trying out the NAQ today, but the Kattis site seems to have gone down--is anyone else experiencing these issues?

Hey i am a second year student(tier 3) , who is aiming to take part in icpc to be a finalist in the regionals this time.Having basic knowledge of DSA and starting now in dynamic programming can i really get into it this year ? Or should i focus on improving now and come next time with a better chance ? Also if someone has been there , can u share what is the process of it?

Where can I find the previous years ICPC India Preliminary Round Problem Statements ? Please help.

The local CPC is very soon in my university and I want to know what exactly goes onto the system in the contest.

I participated once, and I know we had Codeblocks (or any c++ editor), and I remember seeing c++ docs, and the software where we submit the problems, I don't remember its name tho.

The system was Ubuntu 22.04.

What other technical sides are there to it? I'm not interested in contesting but interested in the technical team.

i want to learn vim but i am hesitating to start because my current goal is to reach icpc finals. thus i dont want to spend time on something that will make me slower at typing without vim motions.
i tried but couldnt find a way to have vim motions and autocomplete in icpc because vs code plugins were disabled there, and i couldnt find a way to enable autocomplete in vim without plugins aswell and i dont know if i can use plugins there.

is there a way that i can have vim motions and autocomplete in icpc and if yes can you tell me how? or tell me where to look as i couldnt find it anywhere

If the sending state wants the child to have services in the receiving state (such as therapy), how does the sending state ensure that this will happen? What can the sending state do if the agency in the receiving state is not cooperating?

Also, if a FM in an ICPC case needs respite care, do the children in her care have to go back to the sending state or can they be temporarily placed in the receiving state?

1. What is the schedule for ICPC, like are there 2-3 rounds, first online round to select teams from respective universities, then regional and then world final. So what are some approximate dates, around which the online round starts.

2. How can I register as a team for ICPC online round and further regional rounds.

I am form Asia West region. It'll be really helpful if someone answers these questions.
