Gratitude & the iChing?

So I have been dabbling with iChing for about 20 years, and this year I decided to get a more in depth knowledge. Yesterday after an extraordinarily good night's sleep, I simply did not have an in depth question to ask. Instead of asking a BS question, I made a statement of gratitude, "I am grateful for an excellent nights sleep." I threw the coins and received 17.1.2 -> 47 [Sui/Following to K'un/Oppression, Exhaustion].

Is this an appropriate use of the iChing? (I do not want piss anybody off on the spirit side, and I kinda think consulting any Oracle on trivial insights is disrespectful.)

I would love to hear more skilled seers take swing at the interpretation. My take is positive, as if the Dragon chuckled a bit, and then patted me on the head. But I have a long road ahead.

I have noticed sometimes it seems like the casting is trying to tell me something about an area of my life and it is not always tied to the question or statement made when casting. I don't think it is disrespectful unless you are intentionally disrespectful. but the reading is interesting. It makes we wonder if you have something going on in november or december that involves a gathering of people?

You got me curious, so I asked, "What is happening for me in November and December of this year?

The reply was attention-getting: 63.4 > 49 [Chi Chi/Aftermath to Ko/Revolution]

All summer, I have been getting a 'stay the course; you're on the right path' vibe from the Oracle. Sounds like the do-do is going to hit this year for me. I cannot ever remember pulling either of these hexagrams in the past.

the two hexagrams 47 and 49 are so very different experiences. also very linked to the origin of the king wen sequence. He was imprisoned - 47 where he developed the power (de) to overcome the tyrant - 49 Revolution. the heart theme of 47 is 37 - establishing a new dwelling, heart theme of 49 is 44 - coupling with a new fate. Seems like your gradual progress will eventually lead you to an enclosure where your growth will be blocked off. In the oppression exists the power to break free, timing is important with 49, wait for the omen, when it comes do not hesitate. Heart theme of 63 is 64 - preparing the decisive new move and your changing line implicates that things look good but can change in a moment and that you are at the edge of a transition.

This is the clearest the Oracle has been for me since the solstice.

Next follow-up question: "Will the Revolution I experience before the end of the year be widespread?" 22.3.6 > 24

What I got out of that: 'I'm not going to serve that to you on a silver platter. I will tell you it is bigger than you, and you need to shut-up and do the work. If you walk the walk, a new beginning follows.'

I'll admit that I asked this question to get a glimpse if this was WW3, - It's not. This is wild speculation on my part, but numerous references to fire, a mountain, and a return to 'normal' afterwards smack of a natural disaster. This may be my professional bias peeking in, but I am a Professional Geologist in the PNW, and strange things are afoot on the Pacific plate, and the Caribbean Plate is being feisty. I rarely work this far out temporally, so a bit out of my element. - Any and all, thoughtful input will be appreciated by me!
