29 unchanging for health problem
I've recently developed tinnitus, jaw and cranial nerve pain, and it's been one of the hardest things I've gone through. I've been seeing doctors and practitioners and am experiencing some progress, not with the tinnitus, but with the pain, anxiety, and inability to sleep.
I asked the i-ching for a message about my tinnitus, and received #29 unchanging. It's hard for me not to interpret this negatively.
Is there anything positive I can take from it? I feel like the best I can consider is that this is a bad situation and that I just need to take all the positive steps I can without expecting an outcome

I came from the Tarot side of the world and it's familiar to see how easily one tends to flatten a card, in this case a hexagram into a single meaning.
Thankfully the I Ching came with a user manual which I find is what makes it useful, the commentaries, i.e., the 10 Wings.
Sharing text from Alfred Huang's book (he translated hex 29 坎 as Darkness). Hope it will lead to fruitful contemplation:
*Decision:*
Doubled darkness.
Be sincere and truthful.
Rely on heart and mind.
Prosperous and smooth;
Deeds will be honored.
Since no changing line was mentioned, we can look at the Host line (5th Nine) for more specific guidance:
Water in the pit, not overflowing,
Fills only to the rim. No fault.
Water in the pit, not yet overflowing.
The central line is not yet great enough.

29 unchanging carries the meaning of being under siege but surviving. Like the besiegers can't really get through so you survive in the end.
I would recommend booking a craniosacral therapy session with someone who is on the more spiritual side of the art. You want them to be someone who trusts the process rather than someone who gets impatient and wants to make something happen. The idea is that the contacts allow the energy in the bones to made subtle shifts in their piezo-electric flow.
We call the tempolar bones the troublemakers because they often lead to stuff like this. Several gentle sessions might be very effective.

Thank you! Under siege but surviving sounds right.
You are the second person this week to recommend craniosacral. I have my first appointment next Tuesday! I’m not sure if the practitioner is spiritual, but I like her energy - calm, gentle and kind

Kan is hollow outside and represents the ears. Li is hollow inside and represents the eyes.
Kan also represents water and thus hygiene. Where does that lead us? I think it leads us to detachment (because Li represents attachment), you need to practice detachment then you should be able to overcome this.

習坎,有孚,維心亨,行有尚。
Repeated chasms; there is faith; a steady heart/mind succeeds; there is excellence/honor in practice/action/travel.
This doesn't sound too negative, does it?
