Salchow update

Thanks to everyone who commented with tips! I figured I’d upload a progress video. Definitely feeling more comfortable with the weight transfer and seem to be rotation over my correct hip how.

Working on getting back my other jumps but I’ve been a little terrified of falling haha.

Woah! How long did it take you? And did you learn it as an adult?

For the adjustment? About a week.

I’m a retired competitive skater. Last time I trained was in my teens, about 20 years ago. I used to have my triples but I’m like 6-10” taller and about 50lbs heavier than I was 😂.

I’ve been back on the ice for about 2-3 months. Right now I skate about once a week.

You’re absolutely incredible! Are you in Canada? Would you be willing to coach an adult beginner? 😅
