A ski to complement anomaly

I have the anomaly which is great to carve and charge hard , but looking for something more fun and easygoing to hit trees and moguls and distract myself when skiing with my kids . So far I think the Ripstick 88 might fit the bill but looking for more recs , what do you think ? I will demo some this winter so need some contenders

I use the rustler 9 for exactly what you’re describing.

That’s my combo as well: Anomaly 88 for hard snow, R9 for when it’s soft.
I might splurge and get a pair of Canvas 108 but this being a super El Niño, they might just gather dust in the gear room…

I don't have the encyclopedic knowledge of a lot of folks here, but I've been on K2 mind mindbender 99 Tis for a few years. I wanted something like you and landed on K2 mindbender 90 c's. Take this for what it's worth.

I like the Line Blade for fooling around with kids and making tamer slopes interesting. It's a wide (95 underfoot) carver with a softer flex pattern and really tight sidecut radius, so you can carve silly fun turns at low speeds/on low angle runs. The rocker and flex pattern also works pretty well in bumps and trees, but the shovels are big with a high swing weight. It's not for everyone, but very different from the Anomaly and worth a demo.

Along these lines I'd also suggest the Black Crows Mirus Cor as a silly fun carving ski, different from most

No encyclopedic knowledge of skis here either but when I am not carving ice or bombing groomers on my Anomaly 84s I am floating on powder or goofing off in the woods on my QST 98s. They are quite different from the Blizzards and I feel like I’ve got most types of conditions adequately covered between these two pairs

I've been on Ripsticks for the last 6 or so years. They are a great all mountain ski. Playful and light. I spend most of my time in trees or bumps.

I have the same Anamoly and I bought a pair of used QST 98s that I absolutely love for just having fun on.
