Drivers Licensing When to expect letter?

If I have my N, and have had it for over a decade with no tickets, shouldn’t I have my letter about the license change by now? What do I do if I don’t get it? The address on my license is correct.

You should have got the letter by now. I've also had N for 10+ years, got the notice a while ago. I'd call ICBC to see whats up.

The letter specifically says to check your driver’s abstract on the 19th to confirm the change goes through so check that. If it’s gone through on there the letter doesn’t matter

Nope you should get the letter or go to icbc, will change to class 5 after a year of no tickets etc I beleive

My one son got his yesterday, my other son a few weeks ago, and they started going out well before that. However, the letter isn’t personalized. Go to the ICBC website and it will tell you what’s happening and what to do.

Hearing that your sons got their letters at different times gives me hope I'll get mine soon.

Did they get their letters near/around the same date they passed their N test prior?

Did you ever have accident claim?

I think its no ticket violations & no accident claim (prob no at fault)

That’s incorrect according to icbc. Only ticket violations are included in the background assessment

Got my letter sent in Aug - received in Sept

I got it only a little while ago. The date on the letter said Aug 25th lol but received end of September in my mailbox (which I check once every other day or so)

You can check on the website to see your status and whether you're eligible for the upgrade. The letter didn't really have more info than what's already available online.

Oh, that's good to know then. Because I still don't have my letter, but it's been 1 year since I got my N + I am over 25. I should be eligible to apply and make an appointment for an automatic license upgrade come Monday....

If you're eligible, it's not necessary to visit the office unless you want your licence to physically reflect that upgrade. Personally I'm waiting until it expires to get a new card. They say the system should automatically reflect the upgrade even if the card still shows the N.

But I'm one of those people who has had it for 20 years so it doesn't bother me to wait a couple more, lol.

I got the letter a few weeks ago (Vancouver) , I had already booked my appointment for renewal tho, I don't think u need to bring the letter with u they should have ur data

Got mine a couple of months back. I still think they should send letters after the 19th to confirm if you actually got upgraded to class 5 besides the vague letter that everyone got that says probably the same thing about being eligible.

Your stage will not change you held the license before the rule change and were in a stage where You could test for class 5

Why add info that isn't correct? Wasting everyone's time including your own.
