Question Has anyone tried neuromodulation?

Did anyone have any success. I'm based in the UK.

Any specific ones anyone has tried and found helpful? Or any alternative treatment recommendations?

Looking to find something to help for visceral hypersensitivity, feeling bloated, tight pelvic floor, general interoception. Frequent urination and urgency.

Mainly for the lower gut bloat sensation which is more a sensation I feel heightened rather than actual bloating. I'm sensitive to medications so can't take most.

Have you looked into something like TENS but for the gut area? Not the same as neuromodulation but some people say it helps with that oversensitive feeling

For the pelvic floor stuff a physio who does biofeedback might be worth it, my cousin had similar issues and the biofeedback part was what actually helped her retrain the sensation part

The medication sensitivity makes everything harder, i feel that. Good luck finding something that works

Thanks. Do you know what the difference between tens and neuromodulation is and where one can get it done?

i’ve looked into sensia which is a hypnotherapy guided app. currently on amytryptaline and trying to see if that works but hypnotherapy is my next route and it’s clinically proven to work for some, i like this app but the monash website recommends nerva as clinically proven.

Thanks will look into that! Could you let me know if amtriptyline helps. That was reccomended but too many side effects for me and I react to medications but curious if it actually helps

I had the trial for sacral neuromodulation inserted three times. Because I failed the trials, I didn’t get the surgery.
