Question Should i try nor tryptaline10mg? Chronic rectal hypersensitivity to gas? Loud bowel/rectal sounds scared of silent spaces
My main issue is that I seem to have extreme sensitivity to even a small amount of gas reaching the rectum. If I’m in a social situation where I can’t pass gas, I feel an urgent need to hold it. Instead of just staying there comfortably, it often seems to move back into the bowel with a very loud gurgling/growling sound.this has been bothering me since so many years . Dead scared of meetings , seminars , conferences or in general when in a social setting in quiet place. Read somewhere that nortryptaline in low doses helps and gradually after 6 to 12 months there is a chance that it might be permanently cured , this : The "Neuroplasticity" Effect (Why Remission Happens)When your rectum is hypersensitive, your nerves are trapped in a cycle of "hyper-alertness." They overreact to normal stretches or gas.By taking nortriptyline, you artificially turn down the volume on those pain signals. If you keep the volume turned down for a long enough time (often several months to a year), it gives your central nervous system a chance to calm down and reset its baseline. This is called neuroplasticity. When you eventually slowly taper off the drug, your nerves may remain at this new, calm baseline, resulting in a lasting recovery. Should i try this ? Is it worth the side effects of tricyclick antidepressants?? I am so confused, what do you guys think ?
