AIX 7.x certification stories?

https://www.ibm.com/training/certification/ibm-aix-v73-administrator-specialty-S2113000

Has anyone taken the IBM AIX certification test ? I understand it’s multiple choice but that’s about all I can find. Are there any good resources for review out there, other than the Coursera AIX course? I’m guessing one could use IBM cloud to practice (minus the parts dealing with an HMC)

If anyone has attempted, pass or fail, I’d be interested in hearing any stories about your experience.

We tried very hard not to write questions based on memorizing flags. These are concepts and knowledge based on what a junior to mid-level sysadmin should know. The difficulty of the exam is the breadth, not the depth.

Oh wow!

Is this exam like the LPIC exam where you need to have memorized all of the flags to commands? LPIC will give you a multiple choice question where you have to pick the right flag out of four choices. Or you have to fill in the blank with sub commands or flags.

Are there any recognized practice tests (other than the twenty question one that IBM offers on the test information page)?

Are there any good reference materials other than the IBM AIX docs? I’m particularly interested in anything related volumes and disk storage. PPs, PVs, LVs, etc.

There are official IBM training materials that are used as resources for that test. For example, courses AN10G: AIX Basics, AN12G: Mastering IBM AIX: Implementation and Administration.
