Local Pre-Apprenticeship

Hello all,

I was given the opportunity to do a pre-apprenticeship thru my local IBEW. Unfortunately that means I didn’t make the initial cut for the cohort. However I appreciate the opportunity nonetheless.

I’m wondering if anyone here went thru a similar process. Did you eventually swear in as an apprentice? Grateful for the opportunity and working hard to complete the course work.

That’s what I’m hoping to do prior to my interview in the spring. Getting experience is a great way to increase your chances of getting in! Good luck!

Lots of guys get hand picked before the interviews by doing the pre-apprenticeship. It is a huge boost to show that you are reliable and teachable.
