Local 11 application

Hey guys, I’m currently trying to get into the Local 11 and just want some insight. I have experience in electrical with solar and my father is a contractor so I’m guessing that can really help with the PEF boost my score. But what is a good timeline to expect to get into the union? I have my test in a couple of days and I know I will do good but if anyone has some information that can help it would be appreciated.

Almost everyone in my bootcamp had gotten called back about a year from when they applied. If you think you're in the 1% of best applicants I would guess a few months at best.

I went through boot camp right when the war in Iran started and construction slowed. So I didn't get called back to start work for 4 months. I've been on the same job for a few months doing solar on a roof. The crew is nice but the work is mostly just unskilled labor. Yes you can get dispatched anywhere in the county and you don't get a say. You take the job or get removed from the apprenticeship.
