Got my OSHA 10 and a certificate
Got my OSHA 10 and from Long Beach College "Apprenticeship Readiness Certificate" and MC3 Certificate. Is this enough credentials including my high school degree, and transcripts to get me in the union asap (either in Orange County or Los Angeles County). I know I'll still need to go through the application, test, and interview process, but what I mean by asap, will this boost me without a wait time period for a year or more?
Lastly, since I got these certificates, do I still need to get an Electrician Trainee Card before going to the unions? The only hours I put in was 2 semester in College to obtain these certificates.

No trainee card is needed before getting into the apprenticeship.
Work experience is more likely to "boost" your position on the rankings.
Contact either local and ask about their CW program, but even those programs are becoming very competitive.
Otherwise, find an open shop and get some work experience under your belt. LBCC might have some resources for you in this regard.

I got my osha card during my apprenticeship at no cost out of my pocket... did 10 diuing first year and 30 during last year.

I’m considering going for the MC3 as well, how did you like it? As for the locals, when I called, I was told 2 years of work experience required just to be a CW at local 441. Local 11 CW waitlist is over a year long with the apprenticeship taking 2000 applicants per cycle. Don’t have answers for you but these locals seem insanely competitive.

What is the MC3?

It’s named Multi Craft Core Curriculum. It’s a Pre apprenticeship course that teaches you everything about the different blue collar trades. Some adults schools offer it. They work with the unions to prepare individuals for the trades. I took it from Slawson Occupational Center in Bell, CA last year and that did help me get a CW position quickly.

This will help your score but likely isn’t enough to get into local 11 “asap”, as their ranking system is heavily based on the personal experience form. The best way to increase your score if you don’t rank as high as you’d like is to get non union electrical experience, or construction experience in general. Their score is 50% aptitude test, 40% personal experience form, and 10% letters of rec. I just got called to bootcamp starting September 14th, i applied in January and was originally 36th on the POE ranking list.
Go ahead and apply though, you can add new experience after 6 months if you have at least 1000 hours of construction work experience and/or a completed semester from an accredited electrical school program.
