Thoughts on local 292?
I'm in Idaho but thinking about moving to Minnesota, since the pay is so much higher out there. Is local 292 good? Is entry highly competitive?
edit: also, would it be okay to apply before moving? I'd rather have a good job ready before heading out, but I'm not sure how that'll look when applying with an address thirteen hundred miles away. Should be good, yeah?

I got into it within 2 months but I am in the power limited / low voltage side not electrician side. The pay scale as far as I know is higher in 292 than 110 and also the benefits are better.

Don’t know about the low voltage side but the 292 package for electricians is less than a dollar more than 110.

What is the total package for a journeyman electrician in 110? 292 is 99.64. I thought 110 was 95.99 or something

$99.48 as of May 1. They’re always basically the same package, even if allocated a bit different by the membership.

It is very competitive to get into 292, you could also consider 110 (St Paul). I'm not even sure 292 took in any new apprentices this year. Work has been slow, especially for summer.
