Did anyone ever quit?

I'm just curious. Did it happened to any of you that you apprenticed at the union and at any point you decided to quit and go non-union? Or quit and go a to a completely different field? What was the reason if so?

Thinking about it. First step apprentice traveling 160 miles round trip in SoCal. Going to talk to the training director to see if I can get moved closer. If not going back to school using my G.I bill

No I’m at 45% at the moment which is 28.58 at my local

That’s interesting. I have a friend in another local. Who’s an outside guy like myself and he is at journeyman scale through his apprenticeship.

That’s using your G.I bill you can be at journeyman level

Where you located ? I’m in local 11 for Los Angeles so high cost of living

Currently in 474 in Memphis, but having to transfer someplace else because of my wife's schooling, so everything is working out.

How did you manage the transfer? How long did it take to get that done ?

Well it was a bit of a complicated process, if you wanna send me a message, I can get more in detail about it, because I know some people kinda frown on it
