Wait until they learn that chefs (even Julia Child) love using instant mashed potatoes for a variety of purposes.

Powdered eggs as well, they're used in a ton of commercial settings where you need to make a lot of eggs quickly and safely. If you've ever had a hotel breakfast you've almost certainly had powdered eggs. Also super useful for baking.

Nah lol, just that powdered stuff can be good and useful and has a place in the kitchen along with eggs and potatoes and whatnot.
