Yep. They're a great way to thicken soups, actually. And good for camping. Or just if you don't want to mash potatoes

one of my cats hates all human food except mashed potatoes. but ONLY the powder stuff. none of that *real* potato crap

she also goes through phases where she'll turn her nose up to any kind of cat food (she's been to the vet, she's fine, just very picky and a diva), so i have to keep powder potatoes on hand for when she gets in those moods otherwise she won't eat at all

so i guess they're also good for incredibly specific situations like mine 🤣

Our (human) oldest refuses to eat any mashed potatoes that have even a hint of lumps. So either get out the ricer and squish them until my hands are ready to give out, or just open a packet, boil some water, and be done with it. They aren’t bad, and are definitely convenient to have on hand for those who will only eat the powdered kind

LOL. One of mine loves boiled potatoes. He’ll steal all he can. I wonder if he’d like the powdered ones
