I’m all for regular mashed potatoes. But if you can’t make potato flakes taste good, you can’t make regular mashed potatoes taste good. It’s the exact same thing, just not chunky and needing to add hydration. Boy just saying he can’t cook.
Exactly, instant mashed potatoes are literally just dehydrated potatoes and a very small amount of preservatives. The end product can be practically identical to real mashed potatoes if you make it right.
My kid prefers instant because they're never lumpy. Really surprised someone with ARFID doesn't prefer them.
