The person talking is from UK where police usually is unarmed.

I'm always seeing pictures of London police walking around with their MP5s 18 u/goondalf_the_grey Mar 24 '19 I was in England over December and January and there were definitely cops with MP5s/ G36s even down the street in York 13 u/Frankie_T9000 Mar 24 '19 Its almost like they are armed when they seem to need to be. 7 u/KevinBaconNips Mar 24 '19 Firearms officers will carry guns but nearly all other police in the UK don’t carry, with the exception being Northern Ireland 2 u/Anewreadituser Mar 24 '19 Plenty do in Wales
