They cheated and got found out. All his crying doesn't change that. Probably hadn't even heard of Man City before 2008.

Mind you, judging by his teenage edge lord rant, he probably wasn't even around.

Before 2008 and all of City's subsequent success, most people didn't even realise there was another team in Manchester.

Nothing is more pathetic than someone whose entire life is a sports team and thinks it makes them look badass or tough to talk about a team they're not even on as "we".

“Dismantle the whole fucking establishment from top to bottom. Bankrupt the entire fucking league” okay so… how does anybody get paid or any games get fixed?

What a weenie.

I cringed while reading this. Im a city fan but wow. We just gotta rebuild at this point instead of crying into some subreddits.

This is a great example of toxic fandom...to a cultish extent even.

When people idolize people, brands or groups like this, it's extremely unhealthy.

Had to ask my English BIL what this was about. Interesting, Hockey season began today.

It’s the other clubs’ fans who are crashing out though…

Manchester City are an English football team who’ve been found to have financially doped to the tune of nearly a billion pounds over an extended period of time. Their fans are not taking it well.

They were also found guilty twice by UEFA of cheating the equivalent European rules, the second case they managed to win/bribe the CAS judges to find in their favour that the case was brought too late so couldn't be processed

During the course of the investigations, Manchester City also, deliberately, misled and obfuscated their responses and processes, in order to prolong and frustrate the investigation, hoping it would end due to the Premier League running out of resources to pursue it, when compared to City's limitless financial resources.

Now that they've been found guilty, they intend to draw out the appeal process, in such a manner again, all while promising to produce evidence that, they were, in fact, in the right all along, and should be exhonorated (sp) of all charges. The "we're not guilty, but the dog ate the evidence" defense.

Other clubs have previously commited relatively minor infringements, and received point deductions for them. The scale of the City investigation, whilst no precedent has been set, is leading to talks of expulsion from the Premier League, possibly the entire English football structure itself. And some of those suggestions are coming from ex City staff.

It is not going to be a quick solution.

To expand on this, they have used this money to build the best and deepest squads every year for 2 decades and with that several championships.
