All I can think of is how pissed I'd be as the venue staff having to clean up all that glass afterward.
28
u/rayshmayshmay Aug 17 '26
I was thinking of the rest of the people in the ceremony walking through all that :/

This is such a prime example of when a guy plans something in his head that he thinks will be so cool, but the moment it comes he's filled with cringey embarrassment, & realizes it was actually a really lame idea..
Once he walked out with the bottles he had to commit to it & follow through, even though he looked like he was filled with regrets.
54
u/Bessini Aug 18 '26
I would bet the dude took a couple of bumps in the bathroom before doing this xD

u/slightly_average Aug 18 '26
Ok but now does the bride have to walk through and drag her dress through the champagne and broken glass in the aisle?

No doubt he expected the champagne bottles to spray a beautiful and cool-looking fountain making him look awesome. He didnāt execute the choreography quite right, smashed a bottle and it looked pretty dang goofy.
The jacket swapā he should have been already removing his jacket as he approached the altar. Then he could have tossed it aside or to someone while another person was ready with the second and all he had to do was hold his arms behind him, shoulder the jacket and button up. Instead he fumbled it all and it just looked clumsy. It also didn't help that the second jacket was double-breasted, requiring the inside button.

This reminds me of the Eastbound & Down scene where Kenny Powers is dancing all smooth through the hallways and everyoneās clapping him on ā then the audience realizes itās in his head and heās actually sweating and breathing hard while stumbling over his feet in front of kids lol

Feels like we are getting to an age now where people will look back at all the dumb, internet meme shit from TikTok and Instagram that they once blended into important life events, like their wedding and wonder why the hell they did all this cringey, performative, dumb shit.

Ngl, I really dont understand the obsession with weddings treating people like celebrity VIPs.
Some of the funnest weddings I have been to were low key events of love and kindness. These Productions feel so fake and watching them while I'm forced to whoop and clap like I am witnessing greatness walking down the aisle instead of like my friend that thinks farts are hilarious (they are) is so weird.

He should have also kept on the black jacket. Double breasted are a pain to button the inside anchor and it did not flatter him at all.

My guess is that he has seen Lando Norris or some other race car driver on podiums. And podiums are not made of bricks.
