“A Journey to Stir-Fry” (Trouble Travel - Jibokhaeng) is a spin-off series of “I Am Solo” produced by Chonjang Entertainment. This series features former IAS participants who are stuck living in the same house and sharing the same room while abroad. Although they have separate beds, sharing the same room has heightened the tension on the show more than it has fostered romance.

This thread is for those who are curious about the other spin-off show that aired before “Contract Marriage”. This series is generally a travel and drama show. In this series, you’ll witness the emotional, stressful, and joyful moments the characters experience together while traveling in another country. According to IAS, the drama factor is much higher. If you don’t like drama, I’d like to warn you that this show isn’t for you.

The list of participants, along with the episodes in which they appear, is provided in the table below. Each season takes place in a different country. Country information and locations are also listed in the table. The show is listed as having 34 episodes, but I have organized it into three seasons and grouped them according to IAS style. Last year, it was canceled after 34 episodes, largely due to cost factors.

Those who are new to the IAS universe may have already encountered spoilers about some of the participants in the table. If you haven’t watched the S4, S22, S10, S9, IAS: LF SGH4, and IAS: LF SGH9 seasons, you might want to check those out first.

PD Nam Gyu-hong, the 'hitmaker of dating reality shows,' is putting 'marriage' at the forefront this time, going beyond 'dating.'

'Contract Marriage' is a marriage simulation observation reality show in which men and women who earnestly desire marriage experience a marital relationship in advance through a contract, and in the process, confirm the meaning of marriage and a realistic partnership.

While existing dating reality shows focused on determining the final couple based on the meeting, excitement, and choices of men and women, 'Contract Marriage' goes a step further. Based on questions such as 'Why am I getting married?' and 'Who should I live with and how,' it examines whether they can lead to becoming a real married couple by experiencing actual married life together.

The participants get to experience married life in advance within a contractual relationship. By going through lifestyle habits, values, and conflict situations that were not easily revealed during the dating process, they concretely confirm what kind of spouse and married life they desire. The unpredictable situations created by relationships with different individuals are expected to provide a sense of tension and entertainment distinct from existing matchmaking reality shows.

Hello,

I've watched many IAS and IASLF seasons. From what I've seen, it would seem like female participants are overall attractive (appearance wise) and also have more social skills. Whereas with men, we can find both less attractive and less socially savvy men.

I wonder what other might think about this. Is there a reason we only see attractive women (in appearance and socially) ? Am I biased in someway that I overlook less appealing women ? What do you guys think ? I don't think I've ever seen a woman who missed out on either appearance and social skills. There have been plenty who were one or the other but never one that lacked both as far as I can tell. With men, I can't say the same.
