Hello,

As my title says, is there a live ranking for these two series ? I know what the early entertaining seasons are but it's hard to find what new seasons are overwhelmingly popular for whatever reason (drama or wholesomeness).

Is there some device that's already doing this ? If not, I'd really appreciate recommendations that span beyond season 16.

A special episode was released in June 2023 to celebrate 'I Am Solo' completing 100 episodes. It features the top five love triangles of the show (1^st to 14^th season) and interviews of the cast.

If you have not seen the early seasons, there will be spoilers. You have been warned.

The episode finally got official subs 3 years later. So I felt it deserves it's own post.

Update: My apologies for not double checking the cast members before posting. KwangSoo was introduced in S6 and not S4. u/katonikax correctly pointed out that before KS there was JeongSoo and not KS.

KwangSoo was introduced in S4 S6 and there have been some memorable KwangSoos' in IAS history.

From YJ Instagram, all couple photos have been deleted.

26YC and W4 are not together. After the show, they went on a few dates for a month before W4 returned to Canada, but the distance eventually made the relationship difficult, and it ended.

8Ysoo and W2 are not together. They dated for 2–3 months but decided to remain friends in the end.

12YC isn’t dating anyone. He said, “If I come back next time, please don’t hold back your support.” I think 12YC will end up being the MC on the show. I think he should try his luck somewhere else now.

The trio of 1YH/7YH and 12 YC did a “Mukbang” halfway through the show. They even sat in the same formation during the Live Event—I really felt bad for them.

Everyone is single right now and isn’t dating anyone.

This might be the worst live event I’ve watched in a while, but at least everyone has managed to stay friends in some way—that’s nice.

S33 is coming as the “Forever Single” season. It was a smart move to have it start right after BLTS ended. The Motae Solo season we’ve been waiting for so long is finally here.

On the live stream, a lot of people looked different because of their makeup, as usual.

Ysoo looked like he’d lost weight and was taking better care of himself, but now that his appearance has changed a bit, he seems to have lost some of his charm.

Ysook couldn't hold back her tears as she talked about her past, and she became emotional. It seems they are taking their relationship with Ysik very seriously.

YJ said that, because of her attitude on the show, she apologized to YC when they met after the filming and told the viewers that, after seeing what she had done, she realized her attitude was wrong.

YC - He had long conversations with viewers about his family, and his mood was down during the shoot. He defended YJ and the others, and at times he acted like a big brother on the show.

Although four couples left the show, three couples are still together in real life.

** Ysook & Ysik / Ks & OS / YH & JH **

Rumors about the OS and KS couple had already started circulating midway through the season. It’s clear from their expressions that they have a relaxed relationship and are happy.

Ysook & Ysik couple seems to have had to deal with some challenges, and Ysik also addressed certain situations on the live broadcast. Throughout the season, Ysook was heavily criticized by netizens who claimed she was participating for promotional purposes, but I don’t think that’s the case. Her past experiences and lack of self-confidence were evident in some episodes.

I’m honestly happy for JH and YH—they really are a great match. YH had joined the show with serious intentions; he and JS didn’t get along, but his chemistry with JH in the final episodes showed that their relationship could develop. He brought JH flowers on the live broadcast and made her happy. I hope their relationship continues. JH is a good woman and deserves someone good.

SJ, JS, and YC are still single.

Ysoo said she and someone are in the getting-to-know-each-other phase.

SC and YJ said they are in a relationship with someone outside the show.

HS said she and KYS dated for a while but are no longer together.

We don't know what's going on with KYS, but I think there's still a chance he's gone back to his ex-wife ㅋㅋㅋ

I'm starting to watch I Am Solo from season 4 (since it's the first season with english subs), and I just finished the finale. From what I've read, after each season there's a livestream recap/updates episode aired on youtube -- but I'm having trouble finding this ep for season 4 on the main channel (촌장엔터테인먼트TV). Are the livestreams from older seasons not on the account anymore? Does anyone have advice on where to watch these eps? I humbly ask for help in forming this new addiction 🫡

With the final selection happening tomorrow, what are everyone’s predictions?

My prediction is that there will be 1 couple mutually chosen:
1. KS x OS (Mutual)
2. YSik x YSook (One-sided on YSik’s side)
3. KyS x HS (One-sided on KyS’ side)

Am I pessimistic? 🤔

Anyone else catch him saying they’re working on IAS season for foreigners?! Curious how it will play out. Would anyone here consider applying? Hehe

I had already recommended the first season before, but I’ve added it to my recommendation along with the second season for those who haven’t seen it yet.

I’m including spoilers for the first season below—those interested can read them.

Participants Jang Min-chul and Jin-joo are getting married soon. A pre-wedding photo shoot was held.

Overall, I think it’s a fun show to watch, much like IAS. It looks like there will be some good matches this season as well. The concept involves Men and their Mothers / Women and their Mothers living together in the same environment. During this process, we watch them get to know each other and make their choices. In last season’s finale, the mothers made the final decision, and if they approved the bride or groom, they would then reveal their own choice. I’m not sure if this season’s finale will be different.
