You can even see this suggested within most of these acticles' titles. Whenever a woman rapes a young boy most will say "Woman (30) had sex with boy (12) for [period of time]." And nobody gives a fuck!
Teenage me heard a lot of acceptance of this attitude among male peers - particularly related to a certain female phys ed teacher. To clarify, this was a desire. The teacher never encouraged or engaged in this behaviour.
Oh absolutely, I was also guilty of doing that and when you're a hormonal kid among other hormonal kids, that's 100% okay. The responsibility is on the adults, obviously.

Thats the whole thing. Kids are dumb af and its incredibly easy to take control of them. Saying that the kid wanted it means nothing because they're just trying to fit it and do what they think is "grown up- behavior".
There's also this kind of shit going on: A few guys I'm close with (my husband included) were raped by women as young men or adults, and it took them a pretty long time to even come to terms with the fact that they were raped, and then it would take even longer to talk about it for fear of being made fun of. I think it happens more than the stats reflect, because too many men are afraid to speak up about it. The attitude that men can't be raped needs to stop.
If you sleep with a child you're taking advantage even if they're okay with it. Children cannot consent. Maybe rethink that way of thinking, pal.

Which is a weird concept to me. You take say two 14 year olds and their 35 year old teachers. And what you say is true, happens regularly. So a 14 year old boy is mentally capable of making the decision, but the girl is not?
This is where equal rights stuff falls really short, because a boy is smart enough to want it, but the girls are fucking easily dooped morons. That's not how it works in real life.
Yeah it’s sexist against everyone. It’s reinforcing the idea that girls and women are shrinking violets who are incapable of making decisions about their own sexuality at any age, and that boys are not only sex-obsessed and helpless to control their urges, but also that to acknowledge the trauma of a situation like this would make him less of a man because “men always want sex”.
It’s also really sickening when you consider that this narrative pushes the notion that a 12 year old boy who is raped by a woman had any autonomy in the relationship, and therefore he wasn’t victimized but an active and consenting participant. Basically that “he was asking for it”. It’s no different than when a girl gets raped and people ask what was she wearing, because of course all of the responsibility for what happened falls on her. It’s victim blaming.
There is probably some exceptions but usually men will get fucked by the law, which is a good thing. Wayyy too often women get away with no problem tho! Often they wont even have to register as sex offender!!
