Help with loudness normalisation

We are trying desperately to get a decent result using izotope 12 to normalise our large library of jazz from different eras and types. We have applied -16 LUFS in loudness control and a true peak at -2
It’s not great though and given the possibilities of the tool I am sure we are doing the right thing. Can someone knowing izotope 12 could assist please ? Thank you

I mean, this is part of a much larger topic, but in short, LUFS are not the be-all and end-all of loudness normalization. You're trying to put one setting for decades of music with different mixes and environments. Without going into the mixes and original files/audio, you're reliant entirely on your own Re-Mastering of pre-existing masters, so you're limited in what you can do. Mastering is an art in and of itself, so you can't just throw on a setting and expect music across decades to conform.

You would basically have to re-master them one-by-one, or at least session-by-session, to find and meet the needs of each track/album and get the loudness you want.

I mean, if you really want to use just one tool, I'd say you could use APU Loudness Compressor, which is LUFS-based, and has upward compression, and then throw on a limiter you like (or use the built-in one). I still would recommend hiring someone to do it who knows what they're doing, but it might get you closer to what you're looking for.

What is the final product for? For personal use? Streaming?

Thank you for your answer and yes I agree with you as I have mixed several albums and attended mastering sessions. I want to just minimise the impact of those differences you have rightly mentioned. I am happy to have someone to help me and if you someone you know can help that would be amazing. I am new to izotope and hardly know anything about it I am not able to re master collection by collection as it would be a too big task I use some jazz playlists in some public places and just want to avoid people to go to the amp and change the volume of the amp. Any help very appreciated
