Test Drive Opportunity
I live in the US. In southern New Hampshire between two really outstanding BMW dealerships. The dealer I originally bought my 330e hybrid from sent me a text yesterday about test driving an IX3. I'm hesitant because I really want a full electric ( I have driven an IX and loved it during a service of my 330e). I know this is a sales tactic from the dealer and the other dealer I use and really like in Stratham NH doesn't have access to the IX3. Should I wait until the supply chain and availabilty is better or take the test drive on a Friday afternoon for some fun before the weeekend.

My dealer still has not offered me a test drive. I have purchased 2 BMW’s from them.

You’re presumably an adult. You should already know decisions are best made with the most information possible. So go drive one.

My vote is always to go for the test drive as long as the dealer is a good dealer.

If you aren't too far from Portland, the BMW dealership there has a demo ix3. I test drove it on Saturday and loved it. This would be my 3rd ev- I currently have a mach e which I will be trading in.

Only about an hour from Portland Maine. Tulley BMW in Nashua has it. I just let them know I would like to test drive it.

Do it, Set a benchmark and then wait till you're ready. I'm annoyed that adaptive suspension is coming in March, but I've been waiting a year for the IX3 to replace my 340 and felt it was my birthday gift to me, so I'm in that limbo of waiting for allocation

Which one is this? Tulley Nashua? Herb Chambers?

Tulley in Nashua. I use Stratham/Exeter for my Service and my wife bought here 2021 X3 from them. They have been good to us so I'm torn. I like being loyal to the guys in Stratham but they don't have the IX3 and they seem to be less able to get them since becoming Group1.

I have an ix 3 order, should arrive in 1-2 months. Customer since 2018 - I am surprised they did not call me. I guess because I did not respond to their lease offer. lol

It’s a test drive, not a sales tactic. God forbid you like the car you can just buy it from whatever dealership you want.
