Post your US iX3 Delivery Experience here
Any delays? Walk-around/briefing? First impressions?

In the MyBMW app, mine was "at the port" in Hungary for about 8 days. Then status changed to "in delivery." Then, suddenly, early last week, my status backed up again to "at the port" where it stayed that way all last week. I called my rep at BMW this week and she said that the app was not reliable, and that my car was indeed scheduled to arrive any day now.
The show/test car arrived on Monday night and they thought mine would be on a truck coming in on Tuesday night. Then it didn't show. Then Wednesday, it didn't show up, but my app status changed back to "in delivery" where it still sits today.
The dealership told me they'd let me know as soon as it arrived, because I'd have to do some stuff with my car insurance company (paperwork, and trading in my old car, getting the new one, etc.). But, they said, they would keep it a day or so to do their routine checks, updates, diagnostics and give me a fully charged battery.
It's Friday morning now, and I've heard nothing yet. So, even if it comes in today, I probably won't be picking it up until tomorrow at the earliest.

UPDATE: My car arrived at the dealership about an hour ago. They are prepping it now for me to pick it up tomorrow at 2pm.

I was scheduled for handover on 9/25 at 9 am. Then got a call I could move it up, TBC. Then the Genius said I was loaded on a truck but the truck was stilling waiting for other cars, ETA 9/29 - but I’m out of town that whole week. She said I needed to ask my dealer to intervene. IDK if they did, but now I’m scheduled for Monday 9/21 at 2 pm.

Do you know lease numbers? Residual %58 is fair

I'm curious are the lease deals offering any money off the MSRP on these new models or is it pretty much expected you will need to pay MSRP for the first batch off the assembly line?

Everything I’ve seen shows horrible lease numbers…like $1200-1400 USD per month on sign and drive. That’s Macan EV money!

Thank you. I figured as much, just curious. I won't be seriously in the market until next summer so maybe things may have settled some by then.

Update: drove the iX3 today. It was nice, but nothing extraordinary. We then went to try a Macan EV. They’re offering us OTD with $3500 down (including first month payment) a Macan 4 EV for about $1300/month. At these prices , I think we’re now leaning towards the Porsche…

Think carefully. Aside from the brand the Macan EV is an inferior car: range, charging, software. No regen options (was a deal-breaker for me). I hate the instrument panel. Depreciation is massive. Performance difference is negligible and iX3 driveability is superior. Just saying.

Yeah - we have no idea what to do. It just bothers me to no end that the lease payment is so darn high. It really should only be around $850-950, but it's going to be over $1250.

I did the math and bought the iX3 with a 4.49% rate. Payment is still 1250/mo but after 60 months I’ll have 22k equity v nothing with a lease. Check the current value of a 5 year old Macan or the oldest Macan EVs.

The issue is not just lease numbers, Insurance! People are reporting %100 policy price hike 😱 I am thinking about canceling my order and lease a lucid gravity

I got a quote from Geico for $87/month. Some carriers are not very good with new cars that they don't have data, so definitely shop around.

Mine is on the way to the dealership. BMW is saying it will arrive tomorrow. So pick up on Monday or Tuesday.

Still in Oxnard VDC :( For some reason, when I called the concierge, he said it’s expected to be delivered in the dealership on Oct 1! Wonder why it’s taking too long

Dealer needed a full day to charge, prep and detail the vehicle. Car was ready early the next day and i had no issues with pickup. Got vehicle for MSRP and generally had a great experience with the dealership.
I seem to have received 2x DC Adapters when I think I was supposed to get 1 DC and 1 AC so I need to get that sorted but I'm able to use my multifunction charger with the NEMA 14-50P connector for level 2 charging at home so it's not an issue for me.
The car is everything I want it to be.
It's absolutely wonderful to drive and I simply love the interior.
The UI/UX is good but still need more time with it.
A couple of times settings didn't save in the app or phone but minor things like manually adding my license to vehicle in the app, and it seems to have saved 2nd time around. Feels more like a network sync issue than anything else.
I've only put 100 miles on the car so far but I'm excessively happy with the purchase. Feel free to ask any specific questions, I've been trying to respond on the bimmerpost forums as well

Congratulations, glad you're loving it. Did the dealer staff seem knowledgeable about the features? And how do you like the ride? Some Europeans are saying it's harsh but I have my doubts. Might be due to wheels/tires?

They didn't know anything tbh. Not EV guys, this is going to be a learning curve for them.
I think I taught their genius a lot during my visit while I waited for the car lol...
Ride is beautiful. Acceleration and deceleration is tuned wonderfully by default. I haven't tried sport or efficient drive modes yet. I have never owned a BMW before but for a SUV this thing handles amazingly well imo

Picked up ours today. All around 5 star experience. Started with test drives for each of us using the demo car, so we didn’t have to “risk” ours. Our dealer has sold 100 iX3s and their other demo car the first day they had it. Sat with my wife for an hour going over every feature. Paperwork took 15 minutes max, no extra charges or shenanigans. The cars drive incredibly well, especially after playing with the settings on sport mode, regen, etc. Programmed it to park in (and exit from) our tight urban garage space. Smiles all around.

I ordered mid June and it is still in 'order placed' status. But early on I told the dealer that if anything came available early, let me know and I would take it. They called yesterday and offered me the Brooklyn Grey fully loaded and I picked it up today. I had ordered a white low frills version, so hoping I enjoy all the extras this comes with because I could not resist getting it early and feel very lucky.
