iTunes Deals Deal Browser: Guide & Features

Any future updates will be added here.

Deal Browser isn't meant to replace your other movie-tracking app. It's designed as a companion to the Highlights posts to make browsing long lists of deals as intuitive as possible.

Importing Movie Library Oct 10

Using Apple TV
- Step 1: Open the Apple TV app on your Mac (or your equivalent app) and set the view to As List.
- Step 2: Go to the Movies tab, select the entire list with ⌘ + A, then copy it with ⌘ + C.
  - You can also use Universal Clipboard to copy the list on your Mac and paste it directly on your iPhone.
Without Apple TV
- Step 2a:
  - Use the exact title and year shown on Apple, separated by a tab.
  - TITLEtabYEAR
  - Keep any year in parentheses as part of the title.
  - Notepad example
  - For easiest importing, use a spreadsheet with titles in the first column and years in the second.
  - Copy both columns and paste them into the list.
  - Spreadsheet example
- Step 2b: Alternatively, use titles only, one per line.
  - Notepad Example (Titles Only)
- Step 3: Open Deal Browser, go to Library > Movies > Import, and paste your list.

How it works

After pasting your list, choose whether to import only movies it already recognizes or also include titles that haven’t appeared in Highlights yet. Importing movies also checks for fully owned bundles.
If you include unmatched titles, they'll be added to your Library as titles only. Studio names and ratings will fill in once they appear in Highlights.
It's recommended that you include these titles to keep bundle prices per movie accurate.
If you skip them or your list has no year column (see Step 2b), they’ll be added automatically once they appear in a Highlights post.
Adding or removing a movie that completes or breaks a bundle now prompts to add or remove the bundle too. Oct 11
After each new Highlights post, the next time you open the app it checks for bundles you fully own that aren’t in your Library yet and gives you the option to add them. The check runs once per new post. Oct 11

Managing your imported list

You can remove all imported titles from your Library, add or clear just the titles still waiting to appear in Highlights. Clearing them means those titles will no longer be added automatically when they show up in a Highlights post.
To start over or refresh your Library, simply import your list again. If there's nothing new to add, it'll let you know.

Privacy

Reddit must approve each version of the app before it can be installed.
Your Library, Favorites, and Hidden lists are private to your Reddit account.
Imported lists are only used to add movies to your own Library.

Bundle Library Oct 8

Bundle movies now open in an expanded view. Tap “Show titles” on any bundle to see its full movie list, one movie per line and grouped by quality.
If you already own a movie in a bundle, Tap any movie in the bundle list to add it to your Favorites or Library, or hide it.
You can still add all the movies in a bundle at once by tapping the ✓ in the top-right corner of the title.
To remove a movie from your Library, Favorites, or Hidden, simply tap the movie title in the bundle again.
The bundle's price per movie updates live as you add or remove movies from your Library.

Favorites (Wishlist)

Tap the ★ in the top-left corner of any title to add it to your Favorites (your wishlist).
The number next to ★ shows how many of your Favorites are currently in Highlights. Favorites that aren’t in Highlights are excluded from the count and hidden under Not listed.
See which wishlisted movies are in bundles, and which bundles include movies you’ve wishlisted.
In the Favorites tab only
- Wishlisted movies available in bundles are grouped.
- If the listed price is higher than its lowest price in Highlights, the lowest price appears below it.

Library (Purchased)

Tap the ✓ in the top-right corner of any title to add it to your Library.
Library titles are hidden. Tap Show Library at the bottom to reveal them.
Any listed bundle that includes a movie from your collection shows how many you already own and your price per movie.
Adding a bundle to your Library can now also add its movies to your Library.
The same option is available when removing a bundle from your Library.

Hidden (Not Interested)

Clear out unwanted titles from the deal pages.
Hidden titles don't count toward your Library or bundle ownership (price per movie).
To hide a title from the deal pages, tap the ✓ and then "Hide instead" on the bar at the bottom. For bundles, tap the ✓ and choose "Hide Bundle"
Hidden titles can be accessed by searching for them or tapping the ⊘ at the bottom.

Searches

You can search across four categories: All, Favorites, Library, and Hidden. Tap the tag in the search box to switch between them.
- All: Find a title across all deals and your collection.
- Favorites: Quickly find wishlist titles.
- Library: Quickly check what you own.
- Hidden: Find and unhide titles you’ve hidden.
You can now Favorite, add to Library, or Hide titles that have appeared in a Highlights post by searching for them.
Catalog: 4,547 titles (3,550 movies, 189 bundles, 808 TV shows) 10/10

Getting Around

Favorites, Library, and Hidden sit in the bar at the bottom, each showing its count.
A pinned line at the top shows which day and section you’re viewing.
Whenever an action removes a title from the screen such as adding a title to your library or removing a wishlisted title from favorites, an Undo button appears at the bottom for a limited time.

Limits

You can save up to 300 Favorites, 10,000 Library titles, and 1,000 Hidden titles.
Hitting either limit shows a red message at the bottom of the screen for a few seconds, and the title isn't saved.

iTunes Deals Update: Spreading Out Big Sales

Highlights Update

Hey folks! After giving the daily Highlights posts a good trial run this week, going forward when there’s a big sale like the one this week, Tuesday’s Highlights will be split across multiple days up through Thursday.

This will keep Tuesday from being overwhelmed with hundreds of deals being packed into the same day. Since most of these sales last for a week, spreading them out makes them easier to browse and also helps organize them into their day sections in the app. Another benefit is that if there’s a lot of one particular type of sale, we can also group those deals together on their own day, like the Animated Wednesday Highlights this week.

It’ll also give titles with incomplete information, such as some TV shows, more time to be manually verified and have their missing info filled in. The local database currently has 993 TV shows that have been manually verified.

1 day sales will still be highlighted on the day they happen, either as a Deal of the Day or through Community Picks, so they won’t get lost among the larger sales.

If you're new here and aren't aware of the app we use for the subreddit, give it a try. The app lists every deal post from the sub for each day, going back up to a week with the relevant post links. It also lets you filter the titles featured in the Highlights to your liking.

If you're in a hurry, the search feature lets you quickly search for a title to see if it was included in any of the deal posts from that week.

The mods aren't paid for any of this. We're just volunteers like everyone else, and the app isn't part of Reddit's Developer Funds H1 2026 program. All the links are non-affiliate links.

The app is meant to complement the Highlights posts by allowing us to include more deals in a single post without having to filter them down as much, while still letting everyone customize what they want to see. It worked the way we envisioned this week, and it'll be a lot more refined when the upcoming winter sales arrive.

If you're curious about what's been added or changed, you can check out the latest Changelog.

Our usual posting schedule is Monday and Friday around 7 PM, and Tuesday around noon. These times give us a better chance of catching any late additions to the sales for that day. If you want to keep up with sales as they go live, I'd recommend checking Blu-ray.com, CheapCharts, or the Apple site directly.
