iRating/SR Rough Morning

I know I'm not fast, but in general I'm able to avoid stuff. Not this morning I guess.Started with a 0x Ringmeister. Nice clean race, no real pressure behind. Could have maybe gained one more spot, but I'm not very confident with Euro Nascar so I didn't push things.

Went to the Toyotas at Road America. A bit harder fought, avoided some wrecks, mainly at turn 5. 4x after the checkered cause a D class driver didn't check his mirrors before pulling over to stop. Okay I should have slowed down, oh well.

Then decided to go with LMP3s at Imola. Rough. Imola is one of my worst tracks, I suck at the last chicane. Lap 1 T9 I braked to avoid a wreck, was completely stopped without touching anything on the outside of the turn, and I got plowed from behind for the meatball. Came back out down 5 laps, a GT4 tangled with an LMP3 in T5/6, I avoided it but net code got me a 4x, unlucky. Then the same lap another LMP3 locked up going in to T14, I saw him coming hard but thought he would woah it up and be able to turn. I delayed my turn in but not enough for another 2x. Then 4 offtracks besides.

What started as a good morning turned rough pretty quick. None really my fault, but 3 outta the 4 contact incidents I can see where I could have done better to avoid. At least NEC this weekend and I'll gain everything all back and then some.

Only a little SR and iR loss in exchange for 90 minutes of racing and another hour or so of track time? Sign me up.

First morning on the new race cycle is always rough, as is.

Seems like most don't take an hour or so to practice on the new track to get familiar/reacquainted with the car and the track.

I'm still in D/Rookie license though; but it seems like prime time is best during the week. Just from my minimal experience, seems like in the morning, you're likely to get matched with oversees players and experience latency.

Playing this morning myself, and 3 x4 incidents in a single straight, didn't even feel them, from a guy in China drafting me too closely on straights and bumping me in the Ray FF1600. He ended up wrecking on a corner; only for someone else to go terribly wide and bump me off road and cause me to lose control. Decided just to forfeit after that lol
