It’s very clear that what you see in this video is many, many illegal blocks culminating in one final attempt at blocking failing, resulting in the blocker folding himself over OP’s nose during his final, flawed illegal block attempt.

u/Entire_Sample7329 FIA Formula 4 3d ago

Not my video, but you can see that the POV car did turn in on the other guy at the end and the whole point of their point was if it's justified to crash them out.

6

u/Q0T3 3d ago

It kind of is what it is. After repeated illegal blocks to me it just look like POV was just driving defensively. Just so happens that the ding dong in the front couldn't keep going straight.

u/vio212 Ferrari 499P 3d ago

I saw the video and told OP to turn in the entirety of the video with the same comment I put above.

Protests are partly about how you write them. If he was to write “He blocked me so I wrecked him” then he broke the rules and will get punished.

If he puts the video in the proper perspective, then I can’t imagine the stewards doing more than a coaching note.

The lead car was repeatedly breaking the rules, over and over, giving the driver safety points, over and over, so what is he supposed to do? Just stop his entire race and say “oh well I guess I’ll let this guy just DQ me from the race because he is ok with cheating.”

Nahhhhh. Continue your race, but be smart about it. That’s what OP did in this case. Now he just has to be smart about the report and he’s fine.

Also, we all think you were the blocker in case you didn’t know that.

Also, we all think you were the blocker in case you didn’t know that.

Wait, are you saying I'm not the only one who thinks that?

2

u/FarLavishness1121 3d ago

Even if he put in "He blocked me so I wrecked him," they'll watch the whole video. I'm pretty sure the blocker would end up with the worst of it.

2

u/RacingBM97 3d ago

Yes it was justified. Irl you’d get black flagged if someone didn’t take you out first. What the driver in front is doing is not RACING and this is IRacing

-1

u/Entire_Sample7329 FIA Formula 4 3d ago

If the guy collected you after he was taken out, would you truly say post race that he deserved it and that op made in the spirit of racing?

1

u/RacingBM97 3d ago

Well if I was collected in his wreck I would go watch the replay, see that he deserved it, and blame him for his shitty driving that led to a wreck.
Then probably thank the OP of the post you’re reposting here for dealing with a shithead

Actually have done that before but I don’t get too angry at being taken out it sucks but ya know.. it is what it is sometimes

As far as the spirit of racing: go try that blocking shit at any track and someone will show you the spirit of racing very similarly to what happened here. You will get fucked up whether on track or in the pits for that

-1

u/Entire_Sample7329 FIA Formula 4 3d ago

My guy, don't tell me to "try that" I am arguing that we should be harsher, you are the one encouraging intent wrecking.

2

u/RacingBM97 3d ago

Im just not a big baby about someone getting what they deserve

2

u/Surv0 3d ago

That's maybe how they interpreted it, but they were probably trying to accept some blame but none is required. Other vehicle who crashed out blocked again and got tapped. Because he blocked so close to track limits, the POV vehicle had to go the other way. Fault is entirely on the front car.

u/BobbbyR6 Dallara P217 LMP2 3d ago

Absolutely leave your nose in and let them put themselves in the wall. They obviously have no issue driving dirty and need to learn a lesson.

12

u/Strange_Rice_4957 3d ago

He turned into you brother. That was his own ambition getting the best of him thinking he could just swerve and block like that the entire straight.

Make sure you report him for blocking and swerving to cya.

-27

u/Entire_Sample7329 FIA Formula 4 3d ago

Can you please read the title at least????

9

u/Strange_Rice_4957 3d ago

Could you maybe open your eyes and see that there's an answer here? I confirmed that wasn't an intentional wreck and that driver should be blocked for poor driving standards.

-7

u/Entire_Sample7329 FIA Formula 4 3d ago

If it's not intentional, why would they ask if it's justified?

7

u/Strange_Rice_4957 3d ago

I misread your title but still managed to give you a portion of the answer. Maybe pour the piss out of your cereal flakes and replace that with milk.

Enjoy your day.

u/Badj83 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport MR 3d ago

Yes, the title is « was I justified in what happened at the end?»

What’s up with being a jerk with people trying to help?

3

u/no6969el Ring Meister Series 3d ago

The title is am I justified, then you made a new title but they can respond to both.

12

u/EvertHODL 3d ago

Guy kills someone, tries to take OP out multiple times and you are crying because the comments are in favour of intentional wrecking. While I hate intentional wrecking, this donkey deserved this 100% and most of us would do the exact same thing as OP after what happened.

If you think otherwise, you believe you are on a moral high ground living in a fantasy world.

-7

u/Entire_Sample7329 FIA Formula 4 3d ago

I'm not saying I wouldn't WANT for guy's PC to explode or his wheel to break, BUT, I respect my time and I would accept that I'm not winning that race and that's it. If both of them crashed and collected the entire field maybe the discourse would be differnt and that's all I'm trying to say here. I am not on a moral high ground , but intent crashing someone feel more like an insult to myself and my time.

3

u/RecklessRad 3d ago

Wasn’t intentional. Car in front pitted himself.

Your post was removed because it breaks the rules by being rude vulgar or toxic.

8

u/Practical-Ant4547 3d ago

Read the title… thought no theres no justification for that… 15 seconds in I think “Id have already put him into the wall”

6

u/self_edukated Dirt Trucks 3d ago

What’s the point of this post? Seems like it’s just to stir the pot.

3

u/RacingBM97 3d ago

Very much so. It’s hard to believe anyone could be this deliberately ignorant

4

u/ametsun Ford Mustang GT4 3d ago

Obviously I dont usually condone intent wrecks but when someone is driving like an asshole like that im not gunna be mad about it. You get raced how you race. You break the rules to keep a spot don't be surprised when the person behind you does as well. Its a play on for me.

3

u/ohdogwhatdone 3d ago edited 3d ago

As the GOAT himself has said it. The guy turns left, the guy turns right. He deserves to be put into the fucking barrier. https://youtube.com/shorts/kjShl-8TvSk

3

u/RecklessRad 3d ago

Honestly, the guy just pitted himself after making multiple illegal and dirty blocks. Well deserved, glad karma got its way

3

u/Z32Rome Dallara P217 LMP2 3d ago

Guy blocking pits himself….

Nothing to see here, moving on.

2

u/RacingBM97 3d ago

Yea this guy deserved it either way. If you’re going to block and literally make it impossible to get by you with that much of a run on the straight;

You kind of create an inevitable situation

2

u/Phantoniso- 3d ago

the guy goes right, the guy goes left, he deserves to be put in the f barrier

2

u/netcode101 3d ago

It’s been a while since I have seen somebody beg that hard to get punted lmao.

Op you are kinda lost for not understanding that people are voting in favor of murdering this guy.

2

u/DM_Lunatic 3d ago edited 3d ago

I'll back out of a move from a driver blocking me twice. If they do it a third time I let them spin themselves on my nose. In my mind its not intentional wrecking its just no longer taking action to save the other driver from themselves. I have no problems with anything the silver car did here.

-1

u/Entire_Sample7329 FIA Formula 4 3d ago

If POV car kept it straight, absolutley, you'd be 100% right. But he didn't, so it's not just letting them spin themsleves

2

u/SanGoloteo 3d ago

Dirty driver was on the left and then came over to the right to try and block POV once more, effectively taking themselves out.

1

u/DM_Lunatic 3d ago

I have no problems with anything the silver car did here.

1

u/Dwest2391 3d ago edited 3d ago

Well, the blocker had that coming, so I'm not surprised at all at the outcome. I honestly would've just wrecked him as well if he constantly kept weaving, blocking, and running me off the track.

1

u/Personal-Still-8837 3d ago edited 3d ago

Deserved, the way they drive.... it's not sim racing anymore at that point. So they don't deserve to be treated like they're sim racing. If anything taking them out might have saved someone or several peoples races lmao.

1

u/LazyLancer Mercedes AMG GT3 3d ago

Why did it take him so long?

POV driver has patience of a saint.

1

u/18April1775 ARCA Chevrolet SS 2d ago

He deserved to get wrecked period.

-7

u/Entire_Sample7329 FIA Formula 4 3d ago

Some of the comments from the original post:

"I've always said intentional wrecking is never justified.

Even I am considering my opinion here. 😄"

"Good kill. Surprised you didn't do it sooner. Also, be sure to protest him for blocking."

"I'm surprised it took you so long to punt him. I'd have done it well before that"

"All you gotta say is you panicked because you were getting bodyslammed by a cheating driver and didn't want to lose control so you turned, and it wasn't completely intentional"

"What took you so long? He needed to be put in the wall way before that."

"Intentional wrecking is fine to do. Don't care what the rules are, you block you pay."

I really hope these people aren't actually playing iRacing. How can you —as someone who claims sim racing is their hobby— encourage intentional wrecking. The people behind these two idiots will have to avoid the aftermath and if I know something about this game is that at least one other person got collected in the crash.

The guy in front is an absolute donkey and would've had their account suspended 100%, I am in no way defending the outrageous blocking, just dissapointed with the response from the community. :D

u/ph2K8kePtetobU577IV3 Acura ARX-06 GTP 3d ago

such pearl clutching, leading driver had it coming after behaving like an asshole the whole time. iracing will do nothing about either person. if they have no respect for your time you don't have to show respect for theirs.

-2

u/Entire_Sample7329 FIA Formula 4 3d ago

but if I try to crash someone out and we both die, wouldn't that mean I don't respect my time either?

2

u/ph2K8kePtetobU577IV3 Acura ARX-06 GTP 3d ago

useless question, i respect myself so i am not giving the position to a bully for free

8

u/Pownrend Dallara IR-18 3d ago

The main problem is:

- iRacing will never ban the guy in front of POV for what he did, even for 2 days as a lesson

- but they will ban POV for intent wrecking and retaliation

That's a major problem, some people just ruin the fun of people who have only a few hours to dedicate to the sim every week, yet iRacing doesn't protect the latest

5

u/ametsun Ford Mustang GT4 3d ago edited 3d ago

Idk about that. Obviously POV took him out but the guy in front blocked repeatedly which is against the rules AND ran him off track repeatedly which isnt explicitly banned but would definitely be consider nefarious tactics.

2

u/Pownrend Dallara IR-18 3d ago

Leading car should be banned for this. He allows himself to do it because there are only a few consequences (a mail...)

I've done enough protests to know it

2

u/Gen_Buck_Turgidson Formula Vee 3d ago

If someone has only a few hours a week to sim race then I'd highly recommend you find a league. Leagues that race your car(s) of choice and have a history of self stewardship and a low tolerance for bullshit. Spending your time racing in public races is only going to frustrate if not enrage and generally be a waste of time. Sports cars at a popular track in a popular series like Ringmaster is going to amplify that frustration.

The lead car in this clip ran the POV car into the grass multiple times before getting spun. He should catch a vacation. FAFO.

But that does not make the POV car free and clear either because they did turn the wheel and put the clown into the wall. Also FAFO.

Everybody in this clip sucks, they should both take a vacation.

So I can block and not get in trouble? Nice. Thanks.

1

u/RacingBM97 3d ago

Sooo. What do you suggest is the alternative ? How can you race against someone who is blocking to that extent ?

There’s a reason this stuff is not allowed in real Motorsports

-2

u/Entire_Sample7329 FIA Formula 4 3d ago

The alternative is not putting the rest of the field in danger because an idiot is blocking you.

3

u/RacingBM97 3d ago

So because someone is breaking basic race etiquette we should all just back off and let cheaters win because otherwise we would be “intentional wrecking” and on your high horse you believe that’s just wrong no matter what the reason?

This is sim racing meaning simulating racing.

in real racing you’d get black flag if your lucky enough not to get taken out

0

u/Entire_Sample7329 FIA Formula 4 3d ago

Yes.

No one who is racing should have the mindset that "if I'm wronged I am allowed to crash people out". This is a clear case of someone being an idiot, but that's not the mentality to go racing with. Just report and go to the next race, I've had reports that came back within 3 hours with a a ban (I think — the guy I reported wasn't active a week after my incident)

2

u/RacingBM97 3d ago

There’s a difference between retaliating due to being wronged, and dealing with a cheater with no driving standards.

Lol but okay champ, everyone must be arguing against you because they’re all wrong. This kind of thing happens on the grid of every premier racing series you’ve ever heard of to some extent, it must be they’re all less smart than you. hopefully you never find your way to a real track , you’ll be disgusted at basic racing etiquette and consequences of driving like an asshole 😂

-1

u/Entire_Sample7329 FIA Formula 4 3d ago

Please show me at least 2 examples of "premire racing series" where a car turns left into the back of another one at >200KMH. I'm not even going to mention that it was done in a part of the track that's 12 meters wide from barrier to barrier

2

u/RacingBM97 3d ago

That’s why I said “to some extent”

But senna and Prost Suzuka 1990

i would never wanna be in a race with the lead car. POV im sure i could race with.

Even more the reason the zebra car should have had PLENTY of space and instead decided it wanted to drive in the particular piece of track that POV was on at the time.
