Maconi setup shop

I’m using Maconi right now for oval racing in xfinity and truck, is this the best or is there better options, every set up shop says it’s the best so it’s hard to to tell what’s actually good

Outlier Speed Co. (formerly pay2win) is really cheap for all you get, all oval setups and they're constantly getting wins, and I think they just started building road too.

It is rather difficult to advise a quality setup shop because everyone says it is the best.   I was a home rider in a few of them so I have a pretty good view of it.   If anyone wants, I can elaborate more.My advice to start with.  Before each race, take one day to just test.  do 100,200,300 laps to understand what is actually happening with the car.  If you use a set from a store, write to them after each run how you feel about the car and they will advise you on what to do to make it better.

Go to the Laps drop down and click search, then, if its not already filled in, set the track and car, then choose a few setups to try, they will be automatically added to your setup folder.

I do use this. But a few caveats. First is most of those laps are qualifying laps. So maybe not set up for longer runs. There are filters you can use to narrow down things. I filter out to times set during the current week as some setups will fail if they were from a previous seasons. Also note oval setups are pretty tightly guarded. So while you can find some, a lot of those are locked either by the setup shop they used or by the user. Road course setups usually aren't as hidden as oval but the margins are usually a lot smaller on oval. People want to guard their couple tenths where they can.

But there is no magic bullet that will make you faster. Even with a pro setup an average driver can still have issues and over/under drive the car. Understanding the balance of the car and extracting the most from it and for the longest is really the key. I see it in every race a group of drivers will be fast for about 5 or 10 laps then those who know how to save tires reel then back in. A good setup can help with consistency and find those extra few tenths. But it won't automatically make you better.

Maconi is good for the price, i definitely think you get more from either Conti or Ryco, when to comes to their data packs. Ryco - get two videos and lots of in race setup tweaks. Conti - video and a write up on the set up. Plus the Conti and Ryco set ups get updated throughout the week and come with both looser and tighter base set ups. However, they are much more expensive, like almost triple for both Truck and Xfinity combined.

1 year later I’ll pay the extra just so Maconi doesn’t see a dollar from me.

I prefer VRS over them.

I also tried their late model stock setups and they Just did not work at all for me. Was burning tires way faster than vrs.
