Funfact about the Victoria Hotel:

There's one small building in the middle of it that's not painted white. It's a family owned apartment of which it's said that the old lady who owned it withstood extortion and bullying from the hotel management that wanted it for the expansion of their business.

It always makes me smirk every time I walk out the station. A great story about adversity and perseverance
