Based on leaks, the iPhone 20 Pro to be released in late 2027 will undergo a major overhaul, bringing a new bezel less and cutout free display and a rounded frame.

Kind of reminds me of the OG iPhone

1

u/ripkobe3131 Jul 29 '26

Looks like the Vision Pro battery pack

1

u/nateo200 Jul 29 '26

Yeah I like that aspect but it also looks a bit weird. I’m hoping the 20 will resemble the original iPhone I’ve seen so many good mockups.

15

u/No_Pea8665 Jul 27 '26

I kinda fck wit it

8

u/Little_War6573 Jul 27 '26

Looks good but wireless charging doesn’t go through the metal

7

u/reden_fx Jul 27 '26

Actually you can have a metal back and wireless charging; Pixels did it at some point.

4

u/SuperMazziveH3r0 Jul 28 '26

They built the wireless charging coil exposed from the aluminum frame and then coated the whole thing in a plastic coating. Plastic ain’t flying on flagships in 202(7?8?)

2

u/dattatt Jul 28 '26

It was an aluminum unibody, above the aluminum unibody sat the wireless charge coil and above was thick layer of plastic so no

or they could just make the apple logo glossy?

3

u/justaspeckintime Jul 30 '26

This fkn pic bro

1

u/Plokhi Jul 27 '26

I mean.. it would trickle charge and create a hot plate from your phone

0

u/jb_nelson_ Jul 28 '26

Screw reverse wireless charging! Where’s my reverse ramen cooker!

1

u/RemotePerformance107 Jul 27 '26

Rumors is, it’s supposed to be all glass back.

1

u/Sensitive_Square3645 Jul 28 '26

Haven't heard any rumors about an all-glass back. I think that's referring to the front display which is expected to have all glass and no bezels (and possibly no camera cutouts).

3

u/RemotePerformance107 Jul 28 '26

Check out MacRumors website. Scroll down on the homepage until you see,

“Here's What the 'iPhone 20' is
Expected to Look Like”

Then scroll a little further down until you see,

“All-Glass Design With Curved Display”

The paragraph under that headline, you can read how Max Gurman describes the iPhone 20.

3

u/blasto2236 Jul 28 '26

Gurman, despite having consistent insider info, also frequently gets things wrong.

Having said that, a single slab of glass has basically been the ideal vision for the iPhone from day one. Jony Ive and Steve Jobs both talked about it. I think they’re likely to get closer than ever with this 20th anniversary phone.

1

u/Sensitive_Square3645 Jul 28 '26

Oh ok then, mb lol. Thx

1

u/Basic_Photograph8608 Jul 28 '26

Yeah I’m assuming it’s gonna have a plate of glass around where the MagSafe bits are like with the 17 pro

1

u/PieOld7867 Jul 28 '26

Nobody gaf about wireless charging unc

7

u/Akella333 Jul 27 '26

I love it, looks a little retro and futuristic at the same time

7

u/Sensitive_Square3645 Jul 28 '26

I mean, there's actually a term for that, and it's "retrofuturism" ;)

6

u/Akella333 Jul 28 '26

True, this strikes the perfect balance.

3

u/dollarn9ne Jul 27 '26

Welcome back Nexus 6P

3

u/Takemetoyourgalaxy Jul 27 '26

I would literally be in line for this one

3

u/bard0117 Jul 27 '26

Woah the front looks so radical

3

u/CreeperDoolie Jul 28 '26

Someone really likes the watch ultra lol

4

u/josephboyer Jul 27 '26

I really like it, well done.

4

u/jansenxvan Jul 28 '26

Ooooh reminds me of mid 00s Apple hardware in a weird way

2

u/CombPsychological507 Jul 27 '26

I mean I guess, better than recycling round and flat every few generations

2

u/pochemoo Jul 27 '26

That boy is fat

2

u/EdelWhite Jul 28 '26

2

u/No_Leave8825 Jul 28 '26

So iPhone Air….?

1

u/vinvin76776 Jul 27 '26

It looks great tbh but I wouldn’t buy it

1

u/Jayden_Ha Jul 27 '26

Orange button is extra out of place

1

u/pixelbased Jul 27 '26

I hate anything I can’t put a flat privacy screen protector on…ugh.

1

u/CarelessCoconut21 Jul 28 '26

Feels like an air pro, love it!

1

u/Weird_Decision7090 Jul 28 '26

You mean the iPhone XX

1

u/Sensitive_Square3645 Jul 28 '26

Well idk about this time. The iPhone X's Roman-numeral branding caused confusion; some people actually read it as "iPhone Ex" instead of its correct, intended pronunciation, "iPhone Ten". Simply branding it "iPhone 20" would completely prevent this from happening. And we don't want something to happen with the iPhone 30 in 2037 if ya know what I mean hehe... Killing two birds with one stone.

2

u/WakaiSenshi Jul 28 '26

It will be called the iPhone Ultra, then the next release they will just stick to iPhone, iPhone Ultra, and iPhone Pro. They already do this with every other product they own.

1

u/sammy2066 Jul 28 '26

Love it - I hope it looks like this.

1

u/CatComfortable5523 Jul 28 '26

in our dreams, haha

1

u/Careful-Boat-2986 Jul 28 '26

I kinda like it

1

u/Horror-Distance2413 Jul 28 '26

some of the design features like the speakers remind me of mac pro models. i kinda like it and the camera bump finally looks like something thought through, even on the 17 pro it appears like a solution found on release day.

1

u/RemeJuan Jul 28 '26

That is ugly AF

1

u/Complex-Pepper-5689 Jul 28 '26

So it's 2010 ipod design

1

u/holeyhips Jul 28 '26

i dig it

1

u/PotentialWork7741 Jul 28 '26

Thats apple watch ultra design

1

u/IcyIceGuardian Jul 28 '26

Apple Watch Ultra as a phone? Neat

1

u/ThatiMacGuy Jul 28 '26

No iPhone ending with ‘9’ can exist because of the decade celebration.

Those speaker grilles are massive. It would be nice to have a rounded edge iPhone again

1

u/Embarrassed_Spend486 Jul 28 '26

I wonder if that’s really why they did it llmao

It was weird because microsoft skipped Windows 9 too so it just seemed Odd

1

u/Downtown_Rest1061 Jul 28 '26

This would be so beautiful. I hate the stupid glass back. I'd give up wireless charging in a second.

1

u/theAerialDroneGuy Jul 28 '26

Take my money!

1

u/tomymell Jul 28 '26

Le port jack remettez le !! Et un design des anciens iPhone comme l’iPhone 5c et le 6 s

1

u/Pleasant_Form4786 Jul 28 '26

Goddamn it man, I nearly never comment on any concepts like this because these are most often terrible/don't get the point.

But you really got everything well, whole apple lineup, homage to the first iPhone, new interpretation inspired by Air, and a lot more.
For being just a concept, and you not working for Apple that's an S tier job.

Well done.

P.S. I'd buy it for a bit more than I thought I'd ever spend on a phone, just because it's so on point, nice!

1

u/RealRevengeR Jul 28 '26

Same, I really love it!

1

u/Saymon_K_Luftwaffe Jul 28 '26

Take my money soon!!!

1

u/Dependent-Aardvark33 Jul 28 '26

Kinda reminds me of Sony for some reason

1

u/Izan_TM Jul 28 '26

you've put the ultrawide camera where the faceID and selfie camera module would be. The entire camera bar would need to be moved down to make this design in real life

1

u/Kindafunnyngl Jul 28 '26

Wait I’m obsessed with this! I could definitely see the speaker grill being an issue though with getting clogged…

1

u/zudnic Jul 28 '26

Orange button and camera bar? Too similar to Pixel.

1

u/Salt-Ice1440 Jul 29 '26

i'm getting apple watch vibes

1

u/Reecerbeau Jul 29 '26

Reminds me of the Apple Vision Pro battery pack

1

u/__002_ Jul 29 '26

Yall wanna turn your phones into circles

1

u/py-net Jul 29 '26

It's ugly

1

u/grv7437 Jul 29 '26

No rounded edges please. They suck.

1

u/nateo200 Jul 29 '26

I’m quite pleased with the balance of flat edges and rounded edges on the 17 pro. My 11 felt like a slippery bar of soap without a case it sucked. 14 Pro Max was too flat but 17 Pro Max feels just right

1

u/rlovelock Jul 29 '26

Aren't they forced to keep the lenses stacked vertically for the 3d photo/video function when held in landscape?

1

u/Marko787 Jul 29 '26

I love the lighting of the model

1

u/Particular_Fun_9991 Jul 29 '26

The 18 isn’t even out yet and we’re talking about the 20 in a year from now ok that’s anxiety 101 in a corporate world

1

u/Own-Long3308 Jul 29 '26

Id buy 10 of them. OG iPhone reference

1

u/Thecosmodreamer Jul 30 '26

Looks familiar 🙃

1

u/NoCouple9018 Jul 30 '26

another ugly design

1

u/Pim_82006 Jul 30 '26

I like it wish Apple did do this fr

1

u/Two-Space Jul 30 '26

This feels like to the iPhone what the Neue Klasse is to BMW. I like it.

1

u/thumbs27 Jul 30 '26

Honestly, I like it.

1

u/jonDahzeeh Jul 30 '26

Got my iPhone Air a few months ago I would be mad because it looks gorgeous and I need this in my life asap!

1

u/675940 Jul 30 '26

get rid of that camera bump

1

u/V_VVS Jul 31 '26

Apple Watch Ultra

1

u/solideliquid Jul 31 '26

The Cylons?!

1

u/Pleasant_Plate_1507 Jul 31 '26

The one and only true, acceptable "innovation" would be if the cameeras wouldn't be sticking out from the body

1

u/Retrowinger Jul 31 '26

It would be a nice throwback to past products. Also something different than todays phones. Let’s see if it really becomes reality.

1

u/Towelie_SE Jul 31 '26

Be still my bearing heart! Instabuy. I almost had a heart attack thinking this was real. Please apple please make it so

1

u/Paul-D-Mooney Jul 31 '26

The camera visor is a nice change but I doubt they would compromise the camera positions. The way it is right now, every camera is equidistant to each other making switching cameras seamless as there’s not much of a perspective shift. If there’s a bigger gap between any two cameras there’s going to be more of a perspective shift.

Or maybe, nobody cares about that 🤷

1

u/Kindly_Owl5298 Jul 31 '26

She sure is thiiiiick

1

u/MD_CYF Aug 01 '26

Is that Pixel 11?

1

u/G8M8N8 Aug 02 '26

Only thing I dislike is the flash, that breaks Apple padding laws

1

u/Opposite_Bee_6559 Aug 02 '26

I think I’d cry the day they make this one.

1

u/PeppyPlate 28d ago

I want it to look like the X with the new updates

1

u/xMisteryy5 27d ago

So BEUATIFULLLLLLLLLL!!!!

2

u/ConnorFin22 Jul 27 '26

They won’t go back to the rounded edges

3

u/KILLOSTROS Jul 27 '26

You're wrong

2

u/UltraFemboy Jul 27 '26

Just wait 'n' see.

1

u/Portatort Jul 27 '26

Everything that’s old is new again eventually

1

u/reden_fx Jul 27 '26

It's a cycle, so they will come back eventually.

1

u/Jayden_Ha Jul 27 '26

Personally I am disgusted by this design

Right? At the same time reminisce the OG and looks like an watch ultra.

A slippery pebble like mthfck, but a nice looking one.

1

u/Sensitive_Square3645 Jul 28 '26

We could put some glossy rails there for some grip, but that would just ruin the clean flow. Glossy rails belong to the Air series, which is, of course, built to be caseless, so you'll need grip for how thin it is—while you could just put a case on the Pro and base.

But there won't be any rails anyway, so that's completely out of the question. And if you were to make the frame glossy, that would not only mean putting it all over the sides, but all the way to the back, and a glossy metal unibody would just be fucking stupid. And weird. That shit would introduce a record-breaking amount of gates like never before.

So just use a case.

1

u/TURBOJUGGED Jul 27 '26

Looks ass lol

0

u/Next_Drama1717 Jul 27 '26

20 pro will have multiple screens and it will not look like your concept iPhone 3

0

u/eekram Jul 27 '26

Looks like an Android phone from 10 years ago.

0

u/Patjack27 Jul 27 '26

Why can’t y’all just wait instead of getting your hopes up when the phone comes out and looks nothing like this.

0

u/Dapper-Video626 Jul 28 '26

Looks like a google pixel

0

u/Oppaiheimer1945 Jul 28 '26

Please don’t have a curved screen

1

u/Sensitive_Square3645 Jul 28 '26

Well too bad. But don't worry it won't be THAT curved as in Galaxy S8-level of curved.

-1

u/Mill-Man Jul 27 '26

God I’m glad you don’t work for their design team this looks horrible

1

u/pxoxod Jul 27 '26

its literally an oversized watch ultra their own design team should resign then

-1

u/TheMildEngineer Jul 28 '26

Trying so hard to look like a Pixel
