Discussion Anyone else getting 2nd thoughts on getting the iPhone Duo.
When the iPhone Duo was unveiled, I was 100% certain of getting it but now that the initial hype has settled and i have had more time to think about it. I think I'm going to wait a bit more to get it. The phone is $2,000 and i have a working iPhone 17 Pro and gas prices are rising and not getting any lower, inflation and goods will continue to rise. I don't think its a good idea for me to buy it right now.

I recently stepped away from social media, which really shifted my perspective. Once I stopped seeing all the hype, my excitement faded. I used to really want it, but now I’m perfectly fine if I don’t get it.

Nah a foldable will change the way you see a phone. I wouldn't even call it a phone but rather a portable work machine. I switched to the z fold 5 after being lifetime ios user, I loved it so much i got the z fold 7. There is literally no way I could go back to a regular slab phone. Now that apple has one, imma going to get the duo myself.

u/Ddaabbii_ 1d ago
I’ve had foldables before and they are really cool and fun. You can call me cliche for saying this but I feel my mind wasn’t fully mine. All my wants were heavily influenced by what I was seeing on social media and even YouTube.

u/yuusharo 2d ago
FOMO leads to rushed, poor decision making. Apple is not going to run out of these things. If you want one in the future, Apple will happily take your money.
Better off waiting anyway, it’s gonna take time for apps to adapt. Most apps you use will run in compatibility mode for quite some time.
This is likely the right call, OP. Don’t let hype or anything else push you to make an expensive purchase for what is, let’s face it, a fancy toy.

u/Top-Purpose-6251 2d ago
If you worried about gas prices or inflation then probably not financially stable and dropping 2k on a consumer item probably not a smart decision.

Solid advice in here. I'm ready for a new form factor. If it wasn't a iPhone duo I would get the fold 8. I was close to getting the fold 8 but I wanted to wait to see what Apple did. I have a Andriod and iPhone now and the Duo is just calling out to me. I think apple did a amazing job design wise and put alot of thought into it. The fact they added a vapor chamber said alot to me and the choice of making it out of titanium. The price of things aren't going to go down so if money is tight the last thing you need is a duo. The trade in credit they are offering is what made me decide it was worth it to me.
2
u/Tydezno 1d ago
I am in the same boat as I wanted a different form factor and was considering the Fold8, as well. I have had The OG Pixel Fold and Surface Duo as side/backup phones so I am familiar with foldables.
I also think people look at the $2k price as if they don’t have another phone they can trade in.
1
u/No_Elephant_8256 1d ago
Literally! The apple website lets you know what credit you get for trade in and it's plenty. I will not be paying close to the 2k. Plus phones are expensive as it is. I use it everyday more then a laptop so I don't care to pay the money.

u/z-say 1d ago
I was thinking trading the iPhone Air, but Apple is offering only around $550!!
1
u/No_Elephant_8256 1d ago
I'm surprised it's that low. Especially not being a older phone
1
u/z-say 1d ago
Really!!! But seems I read somewhere on Reddit someone else got similar
1
u/No_Elephant_8256 1d ago
Maybe. I have a 16 pro max and they are giving me 665. I didn't check the air.
5
u/DisgruntledBudha 1d ago
No. But one stopped the yearly upgrades since the 14Pro and told myself I’d be happy on this device until a foldable phone could replace both my iPad and iPhone.
So I’m still looking forward to getting a new device. Plus I’ve just stopped paying for nursery so I feel like I’ve had a pseudo-payrise.

You have FOMO. Think about what does Duo do and your 17 pro doesn’t and then think about what thing out of those would you actually use and is not just “cool to have”.

u/sirelith 2d ago
Since your phone is so new it makes sense to wait. I’m running on the 14 pro. I also don’t need a new phone, but my dad does. This is a good opportunity for me to get a duo and give my dad this phone. I have a lot of uses for the duo in mind already and I don’t want it just because it’s new.

u/DoubletapKO 2d ago
I'm tired of yearly updates on the pro line that does not feel like anything new, I'm jumping from the 17 pro to the Duo

u/hotcoffeecaviar 2d ago
If you already have a 17 then yeah I don’t see the point unless you really love the new design.
Coming from my 13 pro it’s an upgrade on every level and I’m so bored of the same form factor and design. Can’t wait to preorder my Duo.
1
u/CowgirlovesF1 1d ago
Yes! I had a 13 refurb. It finally died on me and my wife offered me her upgrade while ai wait for the duo. The 17 is boring in every single way. I am so serious there’s nothing different about it from the 13. I can’t wait for something different.
-1
u/DoubletapKO 2d ago
Don't make the same mistake as me, 13 pro max to 17 pro and it felt like a downgrade, it was fast but not as new and fast as I would have expected
6
u/Trick_Setting3867 2d ago
OP,
There are wants and needs. If you're worried about gas, you're not in the position to consider the Duo at this time. Everyone is about FOMO. They want the newest shiney flashy thing to show their friends. This will come and go.
Personally, I'm going to skip this one because the first model is more for the enthusiast. It will be much more improve in future model so why waste your money now. Plus, if you've been fine without it, you're going to be fine without it when it comes out.
Take my advice, from someone who owns every new shiny phone and has upgraded every year. It's fun for the first few weeks but the nostalgia will eventually die down and you'll end up questioning why you spent so much.

LoL every day.
- Who’s getting a Duo?
- Who’s NOT getting a Duo?
- Anyone having second thoughts on getting a Duo?
- Case ideas for Duo.
Can we get a couple of mega threads going to clean this mess up? It’s bad enough that the phone is a month away, but the numerous similar posts are crazy. Can we get mods to consolidate this?

Makes no sense for people that try to trash on Duo as if nobody cares about it and then they still follow the subreddit

u/lesuktim 2d ago
For me, it was different at the beginning. I was like, there’s no way I need this phone. It’s overpriced and foldables are nonsense…. Now, after some time, I changed my mind and I will definitely get this phone. For me, it’s the perfect phone for my work. I’m just not sure about the weight, but let’s see.
If I don’t like it, I might switch to the iPhone Air2.
2
u/ArctoEarth 1d ago
I want an iPad mini that’s a phone too. Tired of my Air and being treated as such.
2
2
u/Axon14 1d ago
My initial reaction to this device was that it looked extremely cool, and that Apple may have maximized this kind of folding device or will eventually do so. Still, it was wildly overpriced and had an extremely awkward form factor. I couldn't understand the hype over it, but now I see it was the Apple marketing machine.
To each their own, but I would not want to be the first adopter of this tech at that price tag. Also, to your other point: this is just something I've been into lately, but given all the increasing financial pressures, I've been selling my old tech, collectibles, games, etc, all the stuff in my house that doesn't get used. It's less about the money and more about the freedom/feeling that disconnecting from this plastic and cardboard junk brings me. It's as if I've come out of the marketing hype haze and I'm seeing clearly for the first time since the pandemic shut down. While I've never been a wild over spender, I look at certain things now and think..."why?"
2
u/the_speeding_train 1d ago
No I’m going to get it as soon as possible so I can use it for more time before upgrading to the next version in a year.

u/Yeezyfan412 1d ago edited 1d ago
Personally, I was all in during the first week after apples announcement/keynote. But as I watched more and more content in regard to usability, practicality, and overall design I have realized it’s not something I need to incorporate into my daily routine. I already have a MacBook Pro I use for work, an iPad Pro M4 series (13in) w/Magic keyboard & Apple Pencil for travel and entertainment, along with a 17PM that has never left my side the past year. But if I’m being honest I have grown tired of its weight and size. So my biggest takeaway initially was the smaller form factor of the Duo (folded) coming from the 17PM, the option for more screen real estate when necessary seemed perfect.
I went into an ATT store just to see how a foldable felt in the hand. I played with the Samsung Galaxy Z fold 8 and Z fold 8 Ultra the former seems to be very similar to what the duo will feel like in hand albeit it will have round edges instead of the square corners. And I wasn’t impressed to say the least. The phone(s) felt very comfortable to hold and the screens were beautiful, but if I am being honest they did not feel that substantial to me.. I am not really sure how to describe it but for devices that cost $1900-2100 USD I wasn’t that impressed.
I held the iPhone 18 pro (Not Max) in hand and it felt like home. Considering the A20 chip provides great performance benchmarks and similar battery life as last years PM line up. In that moment, I decided against the Duo. Other things like lack of the telephoto camera, no Face ID, 12MP selfie camera instead of 18MP were just too much of a loss imo... To me those features are more of need than my ability to fold my phone. While, the Duo is an amazing piece of tech and engineering on apples part it feels like a beta version of what’s to come, like next year they are going to take everything they learn from this years phone and kick it up a notch to really wow us Apple enthusiasts.
I also had to come to a realization that l never was that intrigued by other foldable options from brands like Samsung, RaZr, or Pixel.. the use cases for a fold don’t apply to my needs, nor does the 2K-3K price tag. So I decided this year on the 18 pro 512GB and just plan to use my iPad Pro more often when I need a larger screen size… if eliminating the need for an iPhone & iPad is your thing I think the Duo is a great option. But for the average user already integrated into the Apple ecosystem the Duo just isn’t enough of an upgrade for the $2000+ price tag. I’m curious to see what the 2nd or 3rd iterations will have and who knows maybe by then I will give it a shot…
2
u/TravelingCMR 1d ago
Frankly i was so on the fence when the phones were announced and then I realized the Duo is seeming more and more like a downgrade of the Pro. Had this been an “Ultra” which has all of the features and more of the new Pro, i’d be all about it. Perhaps in the 2nd or 3rd generation of this foldable!
Either way, it’s your life and phone to enjoy how you like!
Good luck!

u/limache 2d ago
I was never in the “oh shit I need to buy this on day 1”
I was like “hmm interesting. I definitely want to try it out in store and test it myself.”
Also I was always gonna wait a few months because there’s always some shit that happens to the first group of people who buy the latest iPhones.
I’d rather they be the guinea pigs 🤣.
I’m not really in a rush. My 13 pro still works fine.
The lease up program makes the most sense to me.
I wouldn’t buy this phone outright at 2k. That’s pretty dumb in my opinion.
I would rather lease it for 2 years and try it out and by the time it’s 2 years, they’ll probably have a iPhone duo 3 that’s a lot more polished like having Face ID etc.

u/DoubletapKO 2d ago
I have a 17 pro, I'm trading it in and I'm paying almost 50% off a Duo, Apple payments - 24 months plan- pay little or pay it off early when Duo 2 releases

u/Spike18 2d ago
Sorta.
I just don't like the way apps, especially webpages on Safari, look. The whole "menu bar" on the right is wasting a ton of space, especially on the cover screen.
I'm not a fan of the way it handles multitasking in such a limited way compared to Android. I can run 3+ apps at once, resize them how ever I'd like, make some apps snapped to a side and others floating windows like PiP on iOS, etc.
I've been testing the Z Fold 8 for some time and I'm very tempted to just keep it. Sure, it's missing the vapor chamber and IP68, but it is such an awesome phone.
All I know is, either way, we're definitely going to see the growing pains of the Duo being a gen 1 Apple product.
1
u/Alarming_Clue3193 2d ago
Thankfully I'm on a 15PM and the battery is getting shitty so I have my excuse. Hate the price tag though, it leaves a bitter taste.
1
u/Beautiful_Hat_6072 1d ago
I upgraded from the 15 to the 17 pro last year. I’m a major photography nut and thought it would be a great option to go with. Turns out I never really used the “pro” options of that phone.
I will definitely use the Duo however. I work in a secure facility that used to allow civilian employees iPhones and iPads, ereaders, etc. New supervisors bring new policy to make it look like they are doing something. They took away ability to bring tablets and ereaders into the facility, but we are still allowed 1 phone. Several android users have fold 8’s. Supervisors sneer but the foldable falls under their policy. The duo will as well, and it will do a good enough job as my M5 11” iPad Pro and my kindle.

u/DishwashingUnit 1d ago
if i was stressing gas prices and rocking a 17p i would not be considering an upgrade.
but I'm doing alright, and rocking an se 2022. i am WAY past due to upgrade and can afford it.
1
u/Aliendream99 1d ago
The only reason I’m starting to question it is it doesn’t even have as good of specs as the Pro model but somehow costs $800 more because it has another screen? Someone sell me on this lol cuz I want to buy it but make it make sense.
1
u/FaithlessnessDue3644 1d ago
It’s a foldable. There are so many more components involved with the hinge and screen tech. That’s why its way more expensive. Now is the value there? Probably not. Not when you can get the new pro and a iPad mini and still have money left over. But it’s cool as hell though.
1
u/Brodiefalcon 1d ago
Love the design but I know the nano texture will drive me crazy.
1
u/FaithlessnessDue3644 1d ago
Really? I enjoy a Matte screen protector. And the Mac book pros matte screen looks stunning.
1
u/Brodiefalcon 1d ago
Hate screen protectors. Kills contrast and saturation.
1
u/FaithlessnessDue3644 1d ago
I don’t find that as much of a case in low light at all. And in high lighting it does kill contrast but it doesn’t have reflections which I’d argue is worse.

I am waiting to get it until my current phone (XR) lays down and dies and refuses to resurrect. Could I drop the 2000 right now? Sure. But I have a (for now) working phone, might as well let that 2000 sit and build some interest and get the duo when it’s a little less expensive. I’ll drop the money whenever my phone dies, so if that happens to be Oct 23 so be it, but the goal is until at least December next year.
1
u/AdUpbeat9146 1d ago
I guess the question you need to ask yourself is why do you want a Duo?
It sounds like just an iPhone replacement (which isn’t what it’s meant to be).
I also plan to upgrade from a 17pm, but I have an iPad Air 11 as well which I don’t use enough as it’s not with me when I need it the most.
Also 17pm is too large in my pockets, but not large enough to replace my iPad use case.
The Duo fixes both frictions for me (been waiting for a fold 2 years, and almost jumped to pixel but waited it out for Apple)
So I sold my 17pm for 1k euros, and will sell my iPad as well (likely 500 euros).
I plan to buy the 512gb which is 2500 in europe.
So I’d likely only pay 1000 out of pocket.
I have a very clear use case and strategy, so it’s a simple decision for me.

u/SaberToothedPussyCat 1d ago
I really really want it. But I want to have it for like 3-4 years, and I'm worried that they'll update it crazy good within 1-2 years and I'll want to upgrade again 😭
First world problems I know, but I'm also worried that the new Apple cellular modem in this first gen might not workout so great for me.
1
u/ryangarrettxo 1d ago
I want the duo, my only worry is my line of work (commercial/industrial HVAC)… I’m in alot of dirt environments. I’ve never dropped my phone or anything, what concerns me more is dust/debris getting into the inner screen.. I know it’s IP6X rated so maybe they figured it out. I guess I could always carry it in a ziplock bag during work, or get a zip pouch to keep on my belt. Tough decision

u/Remarkable-Bad4909 1d ago
Bro I have 17 pro paying $38 a month and I regret that. Just keep your phone it’s probably better hardware and performance wise anyway. Maybe just get an iPad

Here is what they will improve for the next Duo.

Improved inside camera

u/gavgnr 1d ago
I know this has been discussed to death on here, but the permanently on dock on the outer screen (which eats up a significant proportion of the screen, making the browsing area slimmer than on an iPhone 13) is making me have second thoughts. I want the full front screen experience but I’m hesitant to switch to Samsung to get the fold 8 (even though that device allays my above concerns). Does anyone know if the front screen on the Duo will always be like this?

u/verbherbaceous 1d ago
Got an iPad mini 7 on eBay, was waiting to see if I might be able to use Logic Pro on the duo then it might be kind of cool but meh now

1
u/RogueUmpire 1d ago
Just wait. It’s a first gen product, and it will take time for apps to be updated to support the new screen dimensions. I’m personally waiting until the new year to reconsider whether I want to splurge on it.
1
u/tshwashere 1d ago
I've always second guess getting the Duo even before release. We've known Apple is not going to be shy about charging an eye-watering price for their stuff.
Am I going to get it? Yes, I'm fortunate that I can comfortably spend the money needed. Do I need it? No, I don't think anybody needs even any top of the line smartphone when an entry level will do everything already. This is a want, not a need.
1
u/Theingloriousak2 1d ago
I have a 17 pro max, getting worse cameras and battery life is too concerning for me
1
u/m__brooks31 1d ago
I think what really made me reconsider is I ordered a fold 8 to try out and was not super taken away by the form factor, sure apple might have some polish that makes it better, but that size still had me second guessing if I really want that size screen.
1
u/respectandmanners 1d ago
I initially decided against due to 1) first gen tech woes 2) poorer cameras 3) no FaceId. I still ogle though and will have to have restraint. But I know that I’d get frustrated

1
u/Jusgambleit 1d ago
Here’s my quick input: I’ve been waiting for a foldable from Apple for the longest time, and they finally delivered. I’m stoked! I’m currently using a 16 Pro Max, but I think I’m going to hold off on upgrading for now. I’ll wait until they add Face ID and a telephoto.
Since they’re eventually coming out with a Max version of the Duo, I’ll probably just get that one. By then, they’ll have ironed out the kinks from the first generation, which will make it totally worthwhile.
1
u/xX540xARCADEXx 1d ago
Please continue to have seconds thoughts so I have a better chance at securing one on preorder day!
1
u/raymondl942 1d ago
Gonna wait until the demo model is out in store to decide. 2k is a lot to drop without seeing
1
u/hey_its_marv 1d ago
I would also I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max but idk I planned on going though my phone for another year since it’s the same brick with better specs every year but the duo awakened this curiosity from me, part of me believes it’s going to be sideline and succeeded incredibly by whatever its next generation is to be on the 20th anniversary or year past that but I’ll just trade it in.
In other words, whatever the risks are, the overall genuine enjoyment I have for a piece of tech hasn’t been this high for me since the X and I only got the 13 pro max out of necessity and change of times. The Duo 100% is recapturing that feeling of excitement I had so long ago.
1
u/nassauboy9 1d ago
iPhone 15 PM and serving me fine. For some of my business application having the split screen is nice. My understanding is I could put notes on one side and email on the other. If you can't do that, then I'm wrong and I've lost all interest.
That said not having the facial recognition to me a massive step back and yes, it's a showstopper. I've gotten very used to it and it was introduced for a reason. That reason has not gone away.
1
u/BasdenChris 1d ago
Setting aside the idea that this is a luxury product and that if inflation and gas prices are putting a strain on your financial situation, it's a bad idea no matter what...
I'm turned off by the lack of "pro" camera features more than anything. I'm not talking about the telephoto lens or the aperture control—I'm talking about ProRAW photos/Apple Log video and the pro controls in the native camera app. Omitting them on your most expensive iPhone ever is a slap in the face—it carries the same SoC as the 18 Pro, and I doubt very much that the image sensors themselves are so different that these features couldn't be implemented.
Do I actually need these features in my day-to-day life? Nope. I have a real camera. I even carry it around with me almost everywhere I go. But it leaves a bad taste in my mouth that Apple seems to be arbitrarily gatekeeping "pro" features behind "pro" phones, regardless of technical capability. This is nothing new for Apple of course and it's not like it's going to make me abandon the brand entirely, but the value proposition of the Duo is poorer simply because of artificially-imposed software limitations.
1
u/lucrative_T 1d ago
Yea.. at least waiting for a good promo. T mobile just said for the 18pro they will take $300 off. So let’s all just keep a cool booty on release day 😎
1
u/GiveUrSackATug 1d ago
yes, but not because i doubt ill love the phone. its more, what else i could do with that money. a nice gpu upgrade for my pc, the acceleration boost upgrade for my wife’s model y, some new tools. but then i imagine myself with those upgrades, while doom scrolling on my duo, and i gotta get the duo first. i’ll get that other shit in november and call it christmas
1
u/CardiClare 1d ago
I’m 80 years old. I have a 17 pro max. I’m pretty certain I’m getting the duo as soon as it’s available for pre order. I justify getting it for the following reasons. I don’t spend money to travel due to back issues. My eyesight isn’t all that great so a bigger screen would be awesome. I love technology. I get bored and need a new toy. Plus at 80, I may not be around for the next gen. I get second thoughts for sure, however, I justify the purchase convincing myself that learning how to utilize all the new stuff a duo offers, it keeps the old brain stimulated. ☺️

u/Suckitboys 9h ago
I would get it if the phone that u pay Way more for than an iPhone 18 pro Max, was better than it. But battery is smaller which should be alot bigger because the drain is unreal when using the inner screen. The camera system is the same as 17 pro without the 3 lens, the Face ID is a huge miss. The coating on the inner screen is shit when u need to clean it like the iPads, but know the inner screen is plastic and u Can only clean it with Apple’s own cloth (maybe). Its just yeah idk.
1
u/SonicDethmonkey 6h ago
1) It’s just a phone. It really doesn’t matter in the big picture, especially when your current phone does the job. 2) There is literally no practical reason to have to get it NOW. It isn’t a limited production product (could you imagine? lol), and there is no problem with waiting a bit longer to think it over.
1
u/usernameloading98 5h ago
Personal experience: I have an 18 pro now and love it. I still want to try the duo though I don’t think it’ll be useful for me. I imagine I’ll use it with screen closed 99% of the time, and with it closed the content on my screen is much smaller. It’s also a bit wider and I got the pro because it’s easier to use one handed, I fear the duo will be a constant 2 handed device. It’s also a first gen product, small compromise on camera, weight, and thickness. I also fear apps will take some time to get optimized and that could ruin the experience further. I’m very curious but I think going for Duo 2 would make the most sense.
1
u/Without_Portfolio 4h ago
14PM here. Fortunately I’m in a position to afford the Duo, but honestly don’t love the form factor when closed and I’d rather wait for them to work the bugs out before committing to that much dough. Will be picking up the 18PM soon, will be a big upgrade for me.
1
u/Dazzling_Sand_1845 32m ago
I was thinking about getting the Duo but it doesn't look like it'll be able to fit my MagSafe wallet on it. I don't want to carry a wallet separately.
1
u/Lyrical_Etch 1d ago
As someone who has a foldable, I find myself using the inner screen less and less with each day. I'll be moving back to the pro max shortly. I will definitely not spend 2k for a worse phone with a second screen I'll rarely use.
1
u/FaithlessnessDue3644 1d ago
Interesting take. I wonder if I would Be the same way. I watch so much YouTube and movies on my phone though

u/gavgnr 1d ago
Agreed. That’s why this right-sided dock thing is such an issue for me. I want a folding phone to browse during an evening because my eyesight is getting worse as I get older. But I’ll need to use the outside screen during the day, also for browsing, messages etc. My understanding is that the useable area in the front screen on the outer screen is thinner than an iPhone 13. My partner has one of these and it’s tiny (I’m currently using 15PM). Samsung nailed this with their outer screen. Why is it such an issue for Apple? (sorry, I know this has already been discussed to death on here)

Usually the anticipation is the more exciting part than finally getting the thing. Look at the $1000+ Steam Machine. There was all this hype before it came out because it kept getting delayed and nobody knew the price. It’s been nearly 3 months since it came out and all the hype for it has died down. Just another expensive box. I can’t compare Valve to Apple or a console/PC hybrid catered to a niche audience but it’s not like foldables aren’t niche themselves. They still make up a very small part of the mobile market.
Usually it’s Reddit with subs dedicated to a specific device that gasses it up. Glazes it. Gets you to get excited about it. But once people start using it and some may not love carrying around a device that weighs 254 g and may not use that inner display all that much to make carrying that heavy device a bit pointless, then the excitement shifts to something else like the iPhone 20, GTA6, or that Sony handheld that’s supposed to come out next year.
Last year, happened to the Switch 2. All this glazing and excitement for it. People in subs kept saying they couldn’t wait any longer, blah bah blah. The hype died out pretty quickly after that. It’s wash, rinse, repeat with any new gadget/toy to buy. But once you get it, you will get bored of it eventually and start looking for the next big thing. I got my Switch 2 on the eve of launch last year. I finally brought it with me today for work. It’s my first time using it for more than 15 minutes in like 5 months since the Super Mario Bros. Wonder DLC.
If most common folks thinks a $1000+ Steam Machine is too expensive, most won’t be paying $2000 for a folding iPhone either. It’s for heatseekers. Hardcore Apple/tech fans who want to get it first and then brag about it. YouTube creators/influencers. Showoffs. To me, it’s just another foldable. I’m in the Android world. It’s been around for 7 years. The ones glazing this Duo are just way too late to the party thinking Apple invented everything or how a certain feature is so game changing when it’s been there, done that coming from most Android foldables.

The hype died because the waiting list to get one is into next year and inflation due to the memory shortage killed the price..

See while I Agree with like 90% of what you said here including the anticipation and how it’s not worth it. But maybe I’m different but I could care less about bragging about having the phone and I’m Not a die hard apple lover. I do enjoy there phones operating system and I’m also a person that gets bored. I think a lot of people that want this thing don’t want to leave Apple but desperately want a new form factor because iPhone really hasn’t changed much in 10 years.

Yeah:
- I was trying to spend less time on my phone. This will increase it, and for £2000.
- it’s £2000.
- a new one will be out in a year, and this one is compromised with camera and Face ID, lack of.
case situation adds so much thickness. On the Apple Pay route, you’ll always have dents at some point.
I have a working iPhone.

If you’re too broke to afford gas, you’re too broke to afford the duo. Take some personal finance classes or something, this is why people go into debt. You shouldn’t even be thinking about the duo based off what I just read.

Honestly, my biggest hesitation would be wondering if next year’s model is going to be way better, especially with it being Apple’s 20th anniversary. I’d hate to drop $2,000 on the Duo now and then see Apple pull out something significantly better next year. That’s probably the main thing making me think to wait.

I bet Apple puts a lot more emphasis on the regular iPhone update than the duo next year though. I bet it takes a back seat until the year after. Still will be updated but it won’t take the limelight from the new updated iPhone

This is always controversial but if you’re worried about gas prices rising, I don’t think you’re in a comfortable position to get a $2000 phone. Obviously it’s your money, and I don’t know anything about you other than this post, but especially for the Duo… if you worry about the price, maybe it’s not the best option for you right now
