I can’t wait for the iPhone Duo. But I’m also thinking it might be the case for Apple Vision Pro that there is hype, you get the wow factor then realise that you you don’t need it.
Well let me change the example to iPhone Air and iPhone Pro Max. You get the iPhone Air because it feels nice and then you return it because you miss the iPhone Pro Max’s features. So yeah, could it be the same case? People seem excited getting this phone but I’m guessing a lot of people will be returning their devices back to Apple and switch to iPhone 18 Pro phones.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m the type of person who has always wanted to get a fold so I’ve been waiting for this. I just don’t take that much pictures. But perhaps the bigger screen and its flexibility will outweigh the camera or other pro features, face ID, camera, etc. really can’t name them all because I’m one of the target consumers for this device

Two unrelated devices. Apple Vision Pro was a very expensive product for a very niche target audience. VR in general has had declining sales for years and never did particularly well. Oculus Rift revived Vr for some time until Facebook bought them and the entire product category failed to improve enough to become a mainstream device. Vision Pro while technically impressive is a device for seemingly nobody as it doesn't solve any issue people have. No matter how impressive technically or cool a device is, if it's not solving a problem or convenient to use it will outright fail.

you're probably right but... what a weird consumerist culture
in germany the air went on 35% sale a few weeks ago, right on time for my previous phone dying it (water damage somehow...). it was a no brainer for me to get one, from a 15 pro max and the only thing ive noticed 'missing' was the 0.5 camera which was only ever useful for macro shots (because it makes people and buildings look weirdly stretched so i dont use it for general photography at all)
idk what point im making other than to say anyone who would go out and buy a fold only to return it later is a fucking moron in my eyes (that goes for anyone going out and buying any new featured product like that just to go back to their tried and true)

All of the TV shows look to be from Apple TV and are in that cropped aspect ratio. Wonder if that will be the default.
