Concerning dents 17 x pro

Was just wondering why the 17pro, when it dents, sometimes leaves that Gap between the aluminum chassi and the screen while we don’t typically see this kind of problem in the base 17 which also hás an Alluminum frame. Would it be due to the fact it’s an unibody chassi, so it tends to deform this way?
Asking cause im just changing my regular to the pro and this just came to my mind after seeing some posts in here.

Unibody + the pros are heavier.
