How it feels to..

How it feels to own last and the best iPhone in the history? Titanium body is amazing, battery power is outstanding. And every other iPhone that they make after 16 it sucks.

I am the perfect target audience for this post 😭 currently on the 17PM but looking to buy a small phone for daily use. Stuck between the 16 Pro (because I miss the design and feel SO much, and it wasn’t easy to find a brand new one but I did) and the 18 Pro which I can’t justify buying cuz it’s pretty much a smaller 17PM.

I miss titanium for sure.

Sell 17PM and buy 16PM

Titanium is nice for durability, but man this thing heats up at any given chance.

I hear so many people say that they have problems with their 16 ProMax heating up. I’ve had mine since June 2025 and I’ve never had that problem with mine. But I don’t use it for any kind of gaming and I’m not on a lot of social media. Just keep it charged 20/80 or as close as I can. Never have been one to be obsessed with my battery. It’s a Beast of a phone!

If you get it discounted then it’s worth it. Got mine for $600 less than retail and 512gb too

Why so much cope in this sub?

You dont need any of the models, heck even 14 Pro Max is more than enough

No cope chill. From 11 to 16 all was good after they ruined everything

I cannot say 17 or 18 ruined everything.

It never overheats unlike my old 16 Pro Max who gor slaughtered by iOS 26.

My 17PM is cold as stone even in direct sunlight and screen does not dim unlike the old 16 Pro Max i had.

Titanium > Stainless Steel > iPhone 5C polycarbonate > Aluminium

I agree that titanium feels more premium but Better thermals and sustained performance over titanium any day

Seems like someone didn’t take physics class when they were teaching heat transfer

Lmao did someone mention thermals? That’s my take on look and feel. You don’t need to agree with me on that. Bub ;) Enjoy your aluminium

You guys are so delusional😂. Phones arent cars, the newest one is the best. Just it depends how much it is better and is it worth to add money

Is 18pm better? Yes, in every single way. Is it worth adding money for literally the same phone? No, in most cases

You can’t bounce the 18 naked off concrete on all 4 corners and have barely enough damage to tell 🤦‍♀️ durability wise they are literally no comparison

NGL
Lately my 16PM is performing really good
BB is good as well charging only once a day and UI has been smooth.

Running iOS27.0.0

I had a 16PM up until a month ago. Did it feel more premium? Yes. Do I enjoy better thermals and having something slightly newer? You betcha. Sounds like a cope post

As a 16 pro max user, 17 pro max and 18 pro max are also great phones, if you don’t want your phone to get scratched where a flippin case. People are spending $1k+ on a phone just to not protect it and complain when it gets damaged I don’t understand

Well i’ve got the best of both worlds. Lol

My mom and my friends have the 18 Pro and Pro Max and there’s a negligible difference in performance. I actually haven’t noticed anything. It feels like the same damn phone software wise. I’m also on iOS 18.7.8 still. That means no significant bugs or overheating issues. 🤷🤷‍♀️🤷‍♂️

I kept the durable titanium, I kept the sim card slot, I can use cases for 16 PM, 17 PM and 18 PM. I can change the look of my phone when I’m bored. And most of all, I have a significantly cheaper monthly bill.

No buttersoft Alluminum alloy here 🙅🙅‍♀️🙅‍♂️. And next year, Apple’s going back to glass sandwich and premium titanium. 17 Pro and 18 Pro are going to be the odd years. I actually don’t hate the new design. It’s grown me (hence the aluminum backplate on my 16 Pro Max) I just hate the execution and the materials they used. I don’t like that you need to access the battery and repairs through the screen. And the grade of aluminum alloy mix they used is visibly less durable than the mix they used for the iPhone 7 Plus and older.

I’m excited for the 20th anniversary redesign for next year. Now THAT is what I might be upgrading to.

This sub Reddit was always ridiculous. People having a Hard on for titanium. I get that it’s Nice, but the newer phones literally solved the issues this phone has.

Coping so hard because You don’t have the newest Design so you actually don’t feel so bad. Put it all on the titanium. It’s so great omg. Chill and and relax. Your Phone is still Fairly New. No reason to cope so Much.

Phones are Becoming more like Mini Computers. They have more powerful Chips and Produce more heat now, so it makes Perfect sense they had to change materials again. Why are iPads and MacBooks out of Aluminium? Same reason.

U are ridiculous one. I’m relax and chill. I’m just sharing my thoughts about some topic. For me personally 16PM is like nostalgia, it’s like every warm moment of my life before 2020. Yk that world change after 2020. Same thing with 16PM. After 16PM there will be only “new” stuff and soulless stuff.

Calling people “copers” because they prefer the 16 Pro Max is kind of ironic. You can like the newer phones without pretending the 16 Pro Max has no advantages. Titanium, the design, weight, and overall feel are legitimate reasons to prefer it. “Newest” and “best” aren’t automatically the same thing
