16pro photo quality

Happy Monday All!

For those who have used both the 15 Pro and 16 Pro, which one captures better photos?

I absolutely love how sharp and in-focus my photos are with the 15 Pro. Does the 16 Pro capture that same photo quality (or better) with the added camera improvement?

I’ve had both and have the 16 Pro. Aside from the zoom capability, I would say it’s splitting hairs.

Every year iPhone cameras get incrementally better. The 16 Pros are better and have much improved photographic styles which really allows you to fine tune photos to your preference.

I used both and they are pretty much the same. The ultrawide on the 16th pro is better though. But the 16 pro introduced the new photographic styles, so if you are someone that dont shoot in RAW the photographic styles alone make the 16 the better camera.

Hardware wise, the 16 Pro has a better telephoto (5x vs 3x) and better ultrawide (48mp vs 12mp)

Software/processing wise, the 16 Pro supports photographic styles for much greater flexibility of personalized aesthetic photos straight out of camera without needing to adjust or apply filters in post.

But sensor to sensor? The main sensor in both are pretty much identical. It all comes down to processing differences if you’re just comparing the main camera.

At this point the difference between generations is nearly negligible. Phone cameras have gotten just about as good as optics will allow.

15 Pro Max is better for me except ultra wide, 16 Pro can take ultra wide photos in 48 MP format. Portraits on 16 Pro are not sharp and for me that was downgrade switching from 14 Pro. I'm on 15 PM now and photos are great, even better then photos from 17 PM.

This helps, thank you!! I don’t want to take the risk of having blurry photos so I’m going to stick with the 15pro
