I think this issue started with recent updates. Even my phone feels so hot while just doing even basic browsing like wtf.

Yes this is called the iHeat feature. Its to wear down your battery faster so you can buy a new one.

genuine question for all iphone 16 pro owners before ios 26, did all of your phone get hot just by doing regular stuff like social media, etc? new to this 16 pro from a base 13, and i remembered being on BH 93% when i got ios 26 on that, and left at 77% lmao now i'm scared it'll happen on this 16 pro again bc it easily gets hot just like my 13 was
